If a member of the party was to have found her behind the couch then that would have scuppered the abduction theory right there and lent weight to the theory that her parents killed her or she had an accident and put her body there.
I was thinking more on the lines that they were to crack on that they were oblivious to her fate and let someone else stumble upon the 'accident'. So MO didn't check properly, thus didn't discover her, so Gerry had to intervene - this is all still hypothetical - no need for anyone to vow painful revenge, etc.

The problem with that scenario for the parents is they potentially would still fear neglect charges and charges relating to the misuse of antihistamines (to get back on topic), IMO. Concealment was therefore a greater driver, IMO.

Maybe you should share your scientific knowledge with the investigation?

I agree with you with regards to “under the beds”.. yet reportedly both parents looked for MM there!!
Well you would to prove to your self all the beds had the same height limitation.  What I would have liked to see is what was the construction underneath the beds.  I'm not convinced that despite them looking like having solid sides that there wasn't a big cavity underneath.
Like could an adult could lift a bed and put it over a kid, but a kid couldn't do that to itself for there was not enough space to crawl under the beds.

Why would anyone ever consider lifting a bed up and putting it down on a child?

You clearly haven't been briefed on Rob Ittybob's 'hide and seek' theorem.

I thought you guys were talking about hiding a dead child in the apartment.  Weren't we discussing that?

OK, I'll go there. I'm sure this has been raked over, but what type of bed were they? Divan?

Sorry, I thought you’d dismissed that scenario. Concealment under the bed is of course a possibility but I’ve not come across anything to suggest that is what actually happened.

Yes Grime points to an area beside the bed.  But then he says the odour can move around the room on air currents.

Yes, I saw that. In all seriousness, let's not denigrate the prowess at work here. A Gun Dog will fetch duck all day; it's bred and trained for the purpose.

A good one might.  I'll ask my friend, they used to do duck shooting when her hubby was alive. Yes she did have dog that was always doing its own thing  once.

Kate was logical and checked that Madeleine wasn't hiding in the apartment somewhere.
