Are the statements accurate? Control Risk verses PJ.
« on: July 16, 2019, 06:52:55 PM »
Faithlilly asks:  In what way do the statements taken by Control Risk differ from the once’s taken by the PJ ?
In what way were the statements taken by the PJ unprofessional. Did any of the T7 claim that they were misrepresented in their statements? If not, why not ?

kate is quite scathing in her book abut the way the statements were taken and that they were innaccurate. If she corrected mistakes they would obviously have been different...she uses the word  "we"  when she describes giving new statements.,,,,si its not just her who agve new statements

But ...what is the point of explaining this to faith when she thinks the mccanns are lairs and my have  tossed maddies body in a bin. Im happy to remove this claim if faith says it isnt true. Im sure faith thinks kates justa liar so whats teh point in me showing what kate said...faith wont accept it as the truth

Of course it’s not just her...her husband also gave a statement...that’s ‘we’.

Now how did the statements taken by Control Risk group differ from those taken by the PJ ? Even in their rogatory interviews the parent’s friends did not claim their first statements had been inaccurate. You’d have thought that would’ve been the perfect opportunity. Why didn’t they use it ?

I understand the rogatory interviews were designed to clear up points the PJ wanted clearing up.  You can see that the PJ wouldn't want to question the witnesses about having possible errors in the statements they had taken.

Everyone asking for a copy of the file could have been given a different version.  The PJ didn't put the whole file up for everyone to see, no, you had to apply for a CD which therefore could be written as and when required with what information the Portuguese think is fitting for the applicant.

i.e. no such thing as "an official release".

While still managing to air their grievances. They were allowed to read their previous statements and no-one complained about them.

I'm saying there may have been no such thing as an "official release".  IMO People got different versions each time.  Kate had different files to ours.  Duarte may have had the rogatories but not others.

I defy anyone to make them up. They are among some of the most difficult to understand narratives I've ever read.
