why do you think the redwine case was being discussed.

You look as though you need some help. The connection between the Redwine case and the Mccann case is the cadaver dogs. The title of the thread you strated is  Mark Redwine v 16 cadaver dogs.

If you start a thread with cadaver dogs in the title dont be surprised if posters mention cadaver dogs. Without the dogs the case has no relevance and wouldnt even be discussed here.

Search for redwine and you'll find your mutiple comments.

The 16 cadaver dogs comes from the link originally posted by Misty.

It mentions nothing about Keela, Eddie, Mr Grime or Madeleine McCann.

Then tough... If a thread title mentions cadaver dogs I will post re cadaver dogs
If the thread is on the Madeleine McCann forum then posts re that case are on topic.
If you want to exclude both then the Redwine case has no place on this board..

There are good trainers, handlers and dogs and bad ones. I have never said that all of them are good. What you and others are trying to do is argue that they're all bad.

It's clear to me that the day will come when they will all be required to meet certain standards. Until that time the only option is to judge them individually.
Can you state with absolute certainty that Eddie could detect the presence of a very recently deceased person that had lain in situ for only a few hours maximum, two months after the event?

Carren Corcoran, a cadaver dog handler used in the Redwine case, was also the same handler whose evidence was not allowed in court in the Zapata case....which was looked at by Gerry McCann.

I thought this thread was started by SIL to discuss how “the prosecution decides to use the dog alerts.  And how defence expert Mary Cablk chooses to refute this”?  Surely that can’t be done without discussing cadaver dogs generally?

Very easily.  The Redwine case won't feature dog alerts in general.  So avoiding the dross will be straightforward.

So nothing to discuss for the forseeable future. This thread will now sink into oblivion....

Aren't the dog alerts to alleged remnant cadaver scent the basis of evidence which links Dylan's remains to his father?

So having started the thread which aspects of the Redwine case do you think are relevant to this forum.

Why are you asking that specific question?
Why not ask this question: Can you state with absolute certainty that Eddie could detect the presence of a very recently deceased person that had lain in situ for less than an hour maximum, three months after the event?

OK, you may well be ahead of me on this case, so I would appreciate your input.

I have no idea if there is a list of witnesses to be called by either side.  If there is, that would be most excellent.

If the prosecution calls dog handler evidence, I would expect the defence to quiz the ability of those dog handlers, not dogs in general.

If the prosecution tries to present that the dogs alerted in the house or the pick-up truck, then I would hope it is supported by forensics.

We shall see.

List of witnesses to be called found here

I haven't looked at the list in any detail yet.
