Thank you.
It is interesting to witness your cognitive reasoning from your posts. I think the interpretation you have read into that sentence quite astounding particularly when the quotation is read and understood in context.
Kate was describing her research into missing and exploited children and the known horrible fates that had awaited some and which had shaped her determination to do something positive to help by becoming involved in promoting the Amber Alert system in Europe.
That did not distract her from Madeleine's unknown fate and I think it is in poor taste to minimise what it must have cost her to come to terms with her suffering.
Is it any wonder that such wilful distortion of the facts concerning Kate McCann has become - in my opinion - the hallmark of your posts about her.
Apparently the parents came to terms with their daughters fate-quite early on- still in Portugual ( in some interview).
It was a great drama, scary story- headliner-child snatched by paedo gang whilst sleeping- they jemmied windows and snatched her, while we were like in our garden like as like at home like you know like...
The parents behaviour has not convinced me they ever thought their daughter was snatched via a jemmied shutter/open window by a paedo gang. Not convinced me at all.
Are you able to understand and empathise with a mother who might look for other scenarios to concentrate on other than the daily rape of her young child by paedophiles?
There are two situations to discuss:
1. was the backlash from independent thinkers about the parents behaviour not increasing while Kate wastelling people their daughter was abducted and believed to being 'raped daily'.
They then had to look at a nice ending. a happy smiley family who were sad and childess took her and she is happy with them- this would bring back on board those vulnerable ,easily led 'nutters' who sent in letters offering solutions/assistance to find her - maybe along with some money for the fund.
2, Maybe her friendship with known paedo, CF who really cheered her up, (while her daughter was believed to be with paedo gang) told her it wasn't a paedo gang.
