In my mini-theory Jeremy had the call from his father before ringing the police and his girlfriend, and he rang Julie first then the police.   He admitted being confused but did not explain which version was the correct one.

It is possible the call from his father was as early as 10:00 PM the day before the murders.

Then it would have had to be someone close enough to Nevill to be able to mimic his voice well enough to fool Jeremy, who was convinced because he told police his father had called. I suspect that would rule Julie out..........that's assuming she knew which end of a gun bullets were ejected from.

In which case -whatever time the alleged call happened- surely all he had to do was dial 999. He had no need to put himself in danger.
