I can't see what makes CB a more compelling suspect over Mr T who we know for a fact was in close proximity to 5a and MM on two occasions prior to her disappearance.  The latter occasion just some 2/3 hours before she disappeared.  Moreover he may well have learned about Mc's MO from **.

You and others here can rubbish my theory I'm  8(>(( about that.  I stand by it.  I see theories about CB almost as weak as Mc's involvement.

Just my opinion of course but Jeremy Bamber is innocent and a couple from UK, unknown to T9, abducted Madeleine McCann - motive unknown.  Was J J murdered as a result of identifying as a goth?

Why wouldn't he sue for libel if the tabloids have linked him to MM's disappearance and he played no part?

The fact CB might have convictions for XYZ doesn't mean he isn't afforded exactly the same legal rights as a law abiding citizen with an unblemished past.

Except every man jack knows who he is, what he looks like and what he's done.
We even know a potted history of his choice of vehicle down the years.
If his defence don't argue 'unfairness', however distasteful that may be to some, then they're incompetent or corrupt.

On reflection he never stood trial.
So perhaps the same criteria should apply to him??

Just because CB might have previous doesn't mean he was involved in MM's disappearance.  Conversely just because my suspect might not have previous doesn't mean he wasn't involved in MM's disappearance.  Given my suspects proximity to 5a/MM in the days and hours leading up to MM's disappearance why wouldn't the authorities treat him as a potential suspect for elimination based on proximity alone?   Proximity is important its the reason the authorities are keen to place CB/phone near 5a.
