I think it was the overall impression of the whole he recalled ?
What do you think to this?

Officers were contacted by a child therapist who believed she had seen Madeleine in a restaurant in the town of Tongeren, on the Dutch border.

A Belgian police spokeswoman said the child therapist was "100% sure" that the girl she had seen was Madeleine. Police said they were taking the sighting seriously and were looking for further leads.

"We had a witness who possibly saw Madeleine McCann," the spokeswoman said. "She [the girl] was accompanied by two people, a man and a woman. It is a trusted witness. She works with children and noticed something unusual - that is why we are taking it seriously."

The witness told police that the woman with Madeleine spoke English and the man was Dutch. Both were acting strangely.
“we have carried out a very serious investigation and there is no indication whatsoever Madeleine McCann's parents are linked to her disappearance” - Hans Christian Wolters, German Prosecutor..

“Conspiracy theories exhibit a strong obsession with detail, often taking the form of highlighting a tiny piece of evidence and blowing it up out of all proportion, buttressing their claims with a display of pseudo-scholarship.  When they examine the real evidence, conspiracy theorists do not accept that minor inconsistencies come from mistakes in reporting.” Sir Richard J Evans, author and historian

A cadaver dog will alert to the scent of something which had blood on it but was taken away,   Keela wouldn't.

Yes Martin Smith was 60/80% sure by the way Gerry carried his son down the steps of the aeroplane,   sorry most people carry their child of an aeroplane like that.

Keela did so in this case when the car key was taken away so what are you going on about. Cite please?

Thus, the Renault Scenic vehicle was moved to parking level -3 and subjected to an expert
examination by officers from the Police Science Laboratory and another canine inspection that
began at 03h49 on 7 August 2007 by the dog Keela, that detects traces of human blood, it having
been verified the following result:
03h53 - the dog 'marked' an area of the lower right-hand side of the interior part of the baggage
compartment of the car;
04h11 - the dog 'marked' the 'tidy' compartment [map/glove pocket] on the side of the driver's door,
which was found to contain the car key, the plastic electronic card type, with a key-ring of the
Budget rental company.
In order to confirm that the dog had effectively 'marked' the car key, that was found in the
map/glove pocket on the side of the driver's door, at 04h13, that key was retrieved from the car
and concealed in a place far distant from the vehicle on parking level -3 of the underground car
park.
At 04h14, it was verified that the dog 'marked' the area of a sandbox [bucket of sand] of the Fire
System where the car key had been concealed beneath the sand.
At 04h50, a new inspection was performed by Eddy on the parking level -4 where the above car
key was concealed in an area far distant from the vehicle.
At 04h51, it was verified that the dog 'marked' the area of a sandbox [bucket of sand] of the Fire
System where the car key had been concealed beneath the sand.

"Keela did so in this case when the car key was taken away so what are you going on about. Cite please?"

I am presuming "the dog" refers to Keela,

If you read the cite you have provided it is my opinion that Keela did not react to residual scent she alerted to the real deal - first in the boot;  then in the compartment in the car where the key fob was.  This was prior to the key fob's removal.
In order to confirm that the dog had effectively 'marked' the car key, that was found in the
map/glove pocket on the side of the driver's door, at 04h13, that key was retrieved from the car

Therefore Keela only alerted where there was blood.  Which is what Lace said in her post.
Eddie alerted to that blood also

Keela can alert to blood that has been cleaned away on murder weapons so how do you think she does that?

Keela alerted to the cellular material found on the key fob.  So when she alerted to the car pocket and at the bucket she was alerting to the key fob on both occasions because that is where it had been placed on both occasions.

I know that. I want to know what Lace means by alerting to blood on something taken away? If a body is taken away from a crime scene Eddie would be alerting to cadaver scent NOT blood.

Yes, and initially it was intercepted that a ring in Belgium ‘ordered’ a girl, picture of Madeleine taken and approved. Also in the files.

That does spring a memory of seeing that reported.

My point was that The Smith sighting is taken by some to be almost certain proof that Gerry was seen carrying a child in PdL the night of the disappearance, despite the witness being just 60-80% sure, but the same people who believe Smith almost certainly reject the 100% certainty of another witness who says they saw Madeleine alive after the disappearance.  Why is that I wonder?

Belgian police have now confirmed it was four-year-old Sjanneke Hofstede and she was in the cafe with her father.

Completely beside the point, but now you come to mention it, how do you reconcile the fact that a witness who claimed to be 100% certain, turned out to be 100% wrong, and why couldn’t the same also be true for the  Smiths who were even less sure?
