Could you explain what you mean by this?  Are you saying that it would be impossible to remove a child from an apartment via a window?

I certainly don't think I could do it given the physical properties of the window and child in question. Passing the child to an accomplice outside would be the plausible explanation in my opinion.

I wont be commenting any more on this thread. I believe abduction is possible and plausible.. The current investigation feels the same.. Ill wait for further developments

But no evidence was presented to support either on the night in question. One of the possible reasons is addressed by G-Unit. It's just speculation. We need to look at the evidence from the night in question.
The problem is you don't accept any evidence if it has been supplied by one of the Tapas group so we need to look at what is plausible and logical but without their input.  Two possible reasons have been volunteered.  Are they plausible and logical?  If not, why not specifically?

Doesn't "no sign of a break in" imply that the intruder did not come through the window of Mrs Fenn's apartment? They just scrambled out that way in a hurry once disturbed. That suggests to me her window and shutters were open and the nearest escape route. That's just speculation though on my part.
The police speculated the intruder had a key - there must have been a reason why they thought this specifically as it's not that common for burglars to have keys to the apartments they are robbing IMO.

Organised crime like what was occurring in Praia da Luz back in 2007 often revolves around tourist accomodation since tourists are easy prey and aren't there long enough to bother pursuing matters. Keys were relatively easy to come by, it only needed one or two rogue workers on the payroll and a burglar could get in just about anywhere at any time.

As for 5a, a burglar didn't even need a key as the patio door was unlocked. Advertising the fact for all to see in the restaurant bookings book wasn't terribly smart.

Once again could I respectfully ask that you refrain from personal insults.

Maybe you could try instead to look at reasons to make those shutters behave differently to what is shown in the video.
I don't think you appreciate being called out on your posting tactics  😁

It seems that sceptics have a severe inability to retain information which has been repeated ad nauseam which is exactly why there has been a ground hog re-visit every day for over fourteen years rehearsing exactly the same trivia time after time after time after time after time after ... ... ...

What is it you have failed to comprehend about there being a knack to gaining entry to premises by raising shutters from outside.  It has been repeated often enough.

What is it you fail to comprehend that burglars had it down to a fine art if the burglaries in surrounding premises to 5A are anything to go by.  That too has been repeated ad nauseam.

Have you forgotten Peter Mac's trespass demonstrating raising and lowering the shutter from outside but unable to complete the manoeuvre; perhaps because he baulked at trying to slide the window on private property or perhaps because he didn't have the knack.  It has been pointed out often enough.

Gerry McCann most definitely didn't have the knack when after lowering the raised shutter he manage to raise it only a short distance before it stuck.

Heri thought about it; worked it out and tried it; and showed how it was all perfectly possible.  Have you forgotten that or just ignore it.

There is no proof the intruder raised the shutter from outside.
There is no proof the intruder raised the shutter from inside.
There is no proof why the shutter was raised in the first instance.  And this 'discussion' has really been going on for fourteen years! - if you cannot see the obtuseness demonstrated by that, I am sincerely sorry for you.

The important issue is that a little three year old vanished from that apartment and the police are right now building a case against their prime suspect.
If that involves "questioning" and "answering" the sceptic obsessions ~ well and good ~ but I think now would be the time to give up on fourteen wasted years of vitriol and allow the professionals to build their case or cases against real possibilities unbiased by sceptic opprobrium.

The police are investigating stranger abduction and have been for some years now.  Probably based on the premise that once they have done the work and gathered evidence or they haven't ~ they then proceed to the next part of the jigsaw to check that out.  I doubt very much if groundhogdaying it back to ponder shutters features too much else we would still be working in 2007 and not 2021.

I don't believe abduction from the apartment was ever on the cards or that it ever took place. I still am firmly of the opinion that Madeleine followed her father out of that apartment and was abducted from the streets outside. That this was not a planned crime but an opportunistic one which someone could not resist.

It is obvious that the current investigation is into stranger abduction; so any speculation to the contrary is redundant.

I don't think anyone has come up with any plausible or logical ideas to challenge that.

It's not logical to look at the plausibility of abduction without looking at the witness testimony. What other evidence is there upon which to form a viewpoint?

I think it's safe to assume they speculated over this theory as there was no evidence of a break in.

It's refreshing to see an understanding that the Police didn't just seek to blame the parents from the outset but rather speculated over possibilities based on the evidence before them.

I hadn't forgotten Peter Mac's attempt at opening the shutters I posted a link to the video on this thread.

It doesn't surprise me that Gerry couldn't replicate opening shutters from the outside. It does surprise me that if he thought his daughter had been abducted by a stranger climbing through a window that he would then tamper with the evidence.

I don't know what or who "Heri" is so perhaps you would be kind enough to post a link to where it was shown to be "perfectly possible".

Can you post a link to his attempt to show entry is easy via the window?
