My Search for Madeleine by Jon Clarke
« on: September 03, 2021, 12:06:11 PM »
Clarke still maintains the McCanns were in 5A when he arrived in PdL between '9.45 and 10.15 local time' and that they told him the time of her disappearance; "between 9pm and 9.45pm"
(page 23)

Even taking account of the different time zones, he made very good time. especially as he made at least one stop an hour into the journey. No-one else has suggested that the McCanns were in 5A on 4th, and that's an interesting snipet about the time of the disappearance.

Oh dear, decisions, decisions- believe him or not?  There appears to be an advantage now in doing so if you’re a sceptic but he’s already been described as “disgraced” so what to do la?

They would have needed time to take out all their personal possessions.

Being on holiday, I don't suppose their possessions would amount to much and they had friends to assist

Despite saying in the Netflix series that the roadworks were "right outside" 5A, he now admits that he's not sure where they were. He doesn't see why it matters, apparently.
(Page 29)

He claims that the journalists were told to expect a press conference on the evening of 4th and there were therefore 60 or 70 journalists in the 5A car park by 8pm. The McCanns, he says, arrived back at 8.30pm and went to apartment 4A (4G actually). At 10pm the McCanns emerged and Gerry read his appeal.

It was good of The Sun to rent a villa near the beach, where reporters were able to dance and drink until the early hours of Saturday 5th.

Before the CSI team arrived? I doubt it.

They would have needed time to take out all their personal possessions.

I think it is obvious that they would require a change of clothing probably having slept in what they were wearing the night before when Madeleine vanished.

I don't find it at all questionable that Jon Clarke walked into them as they were leaving.  I don't think there is the slightest suggestion that they were still in residence in 5A and I think he is telling it exactly as it was.

I believe there is a still? photograph of them and their friends moving their belongings to the temporary accommodation allocated to them by the Ocean Club a little later on in the day.

Sceptics seem more interested in what Jon Clarke has to say than supporters, very strange…

Have you just skimmed through to find something you can disagree with.

Maybe you can tell me where the "disgraced" CMOMM epithet springs from as you appear to be doing your level best to suggest much the same 🙄in my opinion😁

Before the CSI team arrived? I doubt it.

The CSI team complete with photographers had been there the night before I believe.  Unfortunately the samples they took were botched necessitating for example the retaking of what could be salvaged such as fingerprints.

Thus forensic samples were irretrievably lost which for all we know could have been the key to unlocking the case.

So probably as far as the police were concerned the collection of evidence within the apartment was complete and nothing to prevent the victims collecting a fresh change of clothing prior to heading off to Portimao to make formal statements..

A hilarious suggestion that Op Grange officers preferred using https://www.mccannpjfiles.co.uk/ to using the original files which were given to them.

The Forensic Team arrived from Lisbon on Friday 4th at 15.30. It's highly unlikely that 5A was allowed to be entered before they arrived.

I’ve read the free sample but before I spend hard earned money on another book cobbled together after a trawl through the tabloids, does Jon Clarke actually interview anyone without a criminal record and with any credibility whatsoever?
Brietta posted on 10/04/2022 “But whether or not that is the reason behind the delay I am certain that Brueckner's trial is going to take place.”

He’s “disgraced” so why would you waste a single minute reading even one word of his tripe for free?
