If Luke was trying to hide his identity something as simple as putting the hood up of the parka would have helped hide both his hair and his face. He didn’t do that. I wonder why? Further Luke wasn’t even ‘trying to get out of sight’. He was leaning on the gate as if he had all the time in the world. Surely taking off the parka and carrying on walking up the road would have drawn less attention to him…if he was the killer. Why stop?

According to you Shane made derogatory comments about his brother to you in a private conversation. From his past behaviour to have that made public is I’m sure the last thing he would have wanted. Exactly.  You only have to look at the killing of Brianna Ghey to see an example of two young teenagers not really thinking through the consequences of their actions. To claim that all murderers would or wouldn’t do something is utterly absurd.

He was witnessed in a place he claimed not to be in. Whether he was standing by a gate or doing cartwheels is irrelevant - he claimed not to be there.

Why didn't he either phone her again or walk up the RDP to save waiting for an hour - the same impatient boy who chased up DH twice in half an hour. Don't be daft.

Luke couldn't walk up the path incase Jodi took another route to get to Newbattle, Ken!
Luke showed the police a shortcut which he believed Jodi may take remember, and Scott Forbes pointed out another shortcut heading towards the Abbey I believe.

The fact you mentioned a complete idiot like Forbes is pretty desperate. She never ventured down the RDP as they were witnessed at EH end. No one in their right mind would attempt a different route, nevermind a teenage girl.

He was allegedly seen waiting across from the lane where his girlfriend would have exited from RDP. Why not just admit that he’d been waiting there? After all it would certainly have been one of the places that it wouldn’t be suspicious for him to be waiting and he knew that he’d been seen.

Why didn’t he phone Jodi again? You are aware that she didn’t have a phone, aren’t you? Further he already knew that she wasn’t at her house so what was the point of calling there? Of course he could also have been wary of annoying Jodi’s mum or her boyfriend by ringing again when they had already told him that she’d left.

Ovens went into the kitchen and told Judith that her daughter still hadn’t met Luke some 50 minutes after she had left even though she only had to walk a short distance. Why didn’t she ring Luke back?

Because he'd already killed her and was trying to create an alibi, but as always, if in doubt blame the family. It's getting a bit "why did the murderer cross the road?" and the replies more outlandish every time. I think yourself and JB Lean should get together and write a book.
