well according to luz she could have done the review without spending a pence (sic)

That's not what I said. I'm the foreigner but it seems that's you that needs some reading lessons.

you said "So far they reached the brilliant conclusion that Madeleine could  be either alive or dead. That I could do without spending a pence."

Well, Luz is wonderwoman

we all wonder when she posts anything of substance

Why don't you give an example. So far you have not written anything substantial. Idiotic criticism doesn't count

What I cannot get is that if we go with the premise that Gerry had a two hour window to  " hide " a dead Maddy ( even less if you go with the Smith siting being Gerry with said body - then surely to goodness one of the many dogs would have discovered the body - I mean whatever people say about how easy it is to hide quickly small body - I just cannot see it - and then manage to move weeks later etc

The PJ had numerous sniffer dogs out the next few days all over the shop - let alone Cadaver dogs - nut not a jot nothing .

To me this indicates that Maddie was nowhere near the vicinity - dead or alive . I have never seen a reasonable argument that if it was the Mccanns - How did they do it where did they hide her so quickly

It defies logic, even more so when you consider that the alarm was raised (perhaps) as early as 2130.

And add to this, who in their right mind is going to go out prancing all over town with an abducted youngster under their arm?  Do people really believe such a thing could have occurred?

However at a holiday resort, is it not normal for a man or woman to carry a child asleep to their home or holiday place

Agreed.  You would think that these marvellous dogs, Sniffer or Cadaver, would have come up with something, even if only Madeleine's clothes.  But as you say, rein de tout.
Gerry simply did not have the time to bury Madeleine in a place where she could not be found.

Had the dogs tests been conducted  properly and impartially then Grime would not have known which car the McCanns used and which apartment they stayed in.  Any lawyer worth his salt would have Grimes report laughed out of court in any trial against the McCanns.
De troothe has the annoying habit of coming to the surface just when you least expect it!!

Je ne regrette rien!!

Totally agree. The methods were highly doubtful and the video of the car search is laughable.

I think what most people have misunderstood, including Amaral is that the dog's reactions themselves are not evidence. The dog's job is to find evidence. Despite being led over the sites several times, the best dogs in the world failed to discover any evidence. So there was no evidence found of a body being in that apartment or in the car.

Remember too that dogs cannot give evidence.  Grime can go into Court as a witness but would he even qualify as an accredited Expert Witness in Portugal?

The delay in bringing in the dogs could only have been detrimental.

I honestly think that Amaral and perhaps even certain people from SY were convinced from the start that Madeleine had died in the flat that any procedural controls went out the window.

They took the dogs direct to where they thought the forensics would be and said find the smoking gun . When the forensics came back inconclusive they were shocked - how can that be ??  - I don't think there was any plan B except Murat and I admit he was certainly someone who I thought from afar had means and opportunity - but came out clean as well

Grime would not support Amaral's thesis. He is on record as saying that the dog's reaction have no edidential value unless backed by forensics and could have resulted from a variety of scenarios.

Perhaps not directly, no.

But at one point, Amaral does express, what he is careful to clarify, as his opinion that the dog could be alerting to cadaver scent.

I don't believe he has any business or right to make such an assertion.

And another of my bete noirs about Grime is reference to dogs' findings.

I notice he's careful not to use such phraseology around knowledgable audiences ...
