I think the site was hacked/taken over a while back. Curiously, the person you have to email in admin is called Leanne.
There has been some pretty awful material posted there recently by those authorised , some of which was removed within 24hrs.

Why does "speech" get spelled "speach" sometimes...........like "troof" instead of "truth"?

Is it some sort of in-joke or meant as a put-down to other people?

I`ve asked before, but have never found out..........really!

Some people who were the staunchest upholders of the concept of free speech frequently misspelled it, while at the same time berating / banning anyone who held a differing view to the one that they were defending.

It thus became a joke... as in "free speech but only for those who agree with me", which got shortened to "free speach".

Once upon a time, in another place, know only to those of us who have been at this lark for eight years now, a McCann Sceptic accidentally spelt "Speech" incorrectly.
It has now come to epitomise The Free Speach But Only For Me Brigade.  None of whom exist on here.  Obviously.

No wonder an elderly lady is scared out of her wits. Not that long ago someone was apparently taking up Birch's challenge to get back into her garden to attempt to "excavate" it.

I have walked past CL a couple of times recently and on both occasions what sounded like a particularly aggressive dog started barking even before I got to the plot.

Dogs in Portugal can be like that though, bark wildly from behind a fence, then try to lick you to death when you walk through the gate.

But I'd still go with steak stuffed with sleeping tablets, just in case.
