I neither believe Amaral unquestionably nor support him.i In fact if the truth being known I am as angry as you are with Amaral for the mistakes made while carrying out the investigation into Madeleine's disappearance, though obviously for different reasons.

They are saying they only left Madeleine with relatives once since the twins were born.

Madeleine by the look of it was usually baby sat in the house by the couple.

The babysitter said she sat for them every two months but Gerry said it only happened once.  Who is the consummate liar?

It just doesn't work putting all the blame on Amaral, the majority of the Portimao PJ as well as those seconded from HQ in Lisbon were of the same opinion Sadie otherwise the McCanns would not have been brought in and designated as official suspects.

Had the DNA results been positive or more conclusive than they were I believe the next step was to arrest and charge them.  Skin of their teeth is a term which comes to mind.

An honest and an innocent person will always be able to answer immediately and truthfully any questions put to them.

Hesitation, changing ones story and refusing to answer the simplest questions is a sign of guilt. Unfortunate but true!!

I am answering a question by Faithfully Stephen.

It is how I understand what was said.

If you notice the word is 'relatives'  with an 's'  not 'relative' as in one relative.  So the fact that one of the baby sitters is a relative is beside the point.

He is saying he has only left Madeleine with relatives once since the twins were born.  'Madeleine' not all three children,  left with relatives with an s only once since the twins were born.

Leaving the children with relatives in my opinion is taking them to the relatives house.
