I can't see your point Carana. Surely if they, as you say, have the SY/PJ to back them they should be more confident of victory. Their non-appearance suggests that is not the case.

Of course it will also be hard to argue that Amaral's book is harming the search for Madeleine when the SY investgation is giving her, allegedly, the best chance of being found.

Amaral's book did harm the search for Madeleine,  people were told she was dead.   If there were people who were thinking of informing the PJ of something they remembered about the 3rd of May,   hearing that they thought Madeleine was dead do you think they would bother going to tell the PJ what they knew?

People were calling in with sightings and told that it couldn't be Madeleine, that she was dead.

Coming from the person who was the Co-ordinator of the case, saying he thought Madeleine was dead and that the McCann's had hidden her body.    What do you think the people of Portugal
 would think?    This is a senior ex police officer saying this.

A letter of request has been sent to the Portuguese but what response has there been in nearly two weeks??

The Sunday Express article speaks of the McCanns renewed agony but they are the ones bringing the action.  If they had an ounce of sense they would bring the whole ridiculous action to an end because by continuing all they are doing is giving Amaral publicity and a platform to promote his book.

As for searching for Madeleine, where are they searching??  Rothley??
