Why would she choose not to pick up contact with her own parents, her own family again?

I can only say that I have known of people who do / have, or who do not want to trace their parents (adoptees).  Do I want this for Madeleine? - not at all, I just keep pointing out that, depending on age, it will be up to Madeleine, and "we cannot judge too accurately unless / until she is found"   I cannot see the point in continuing this conversation, there is little more to say

You are judging all the time - this conversation is becoming so repetitive and pointless.

Re abductees - it varies, it depends on where they have be living and for how long as to their feelings about returning to the parent/country from which they were abducted (as I told you before my knowledge is mainly to do with parental abduction)

So your experience has nothing to do with the circumstances being discussed then? Again, clarify for me who this "we" who will be doing the  judging are?
