I have posted no such quote (and nothing similar to that quote) as you wrongly claim.
Ah so I am ranting and you are posting facts when you claim " that the McCanns, according to themselves, are suffering permanent depression and/or anxiety and/or hemorrhoids or god knows what else "?
You really are showing yourself up when you claim such things. Do you not see that?
Please provide the relevant quotes if you wish to be taken seriously and not simply be seen to be being petulant.
OK, on the basis that you're obviously hard of understanding I shall explain things. Sorry I can't show you fingerpuppets or something to help you further, you'll just have to try and muddle through.
The McCanns, via their libel claim and the Daily Mirror claimed that Amaral's book caused the parents “'permanent anxiety, insomnia, lack of appetite, irritability and an indefinable fear.” Kate McCann is, in addition, “'steeped in a deep and serious depression.” And "totally destroyed from a moral, social, ethical, emotional and family point of view, beyond the pain that the absence of their eldest daughter causes them"."
Yes, I admit that I added in the bit about hemorrhoids for comic effect to exaggerate my feelings about the stupidity and unprovability of their claim and that they seem to want to hold Amaral responsible for all the ills that befall them. That you are unable to appreciate this is not my problem. Deal with it.
As to your other suggestions about me showing myself up and being petulant, you're welcome to those opinions. I'll try and sleep tonight but I'm afraid your words may have caused me anxiety and depression. And maybe hemorrhoids too, so it may be tough.
