Right. So there'll be evidence of my non-involvement in Madeleine's disappearance. And yours. And billions of other people? How can you have evidence of non-involvement? Spin it how you like, that statement is nonsensical.
A complete lack of any evidence whatsoever of a crime being committed by someone suggests very strongly to all but the most deluded that they did not commit a crime.
That applies as we know with certainty to the McCanns.
That also would apply to you, me and anyone else if a thorough investigation had been done which lasted a year and subsequently two separate reviews of all available evidence had been done which also found no evidence of any involvement by us.
It is not as you claim nonsensical to suggest that when there is no evidence whatsoever of a person committing a crime after five years of police searching diligently for such evidence that in itself is evidence that they did not commit a crime.
Imagine a lawyer prosecuting a person up before the Judge.
P "Well actually My Lord, the police have searched for five years for evidence against the defendant but have found none at all. Nevertheless we have brought him before you because we still think he committed the crime."
J. "You're having a laff. Right!"
P. "No My Lord, the complete lack of evidence is not evidence that the man didn't commit this crime."
J. "Case dismissed. Haul that lawyer to the cells for contempt!"
