They will be arrested if they ever step foot in Portugal again
« on: October 26, 2013, 03:45:15 PM »
Do people remember that was a very popular statement made for a long time by people who did not believe the Mccanns version of events.

It started from the myth that they did a "runner" from Portugal.

I believe there was a thread or a post on here when someone said they had never returned to Portugal together.

When it was pointed out that they were in Lisbon for a trial together it changed to that they had never returned to PDL together.

When it was pointed out that they had, the matter disappeared.

Isn't it something of a pointer of how the Portuguese authorities now view the Mccanns that they were in a meeting with them recently to discuss the new investigation?

Even a few days ago there will still people saying that they would never both be in Portugal at the same time. Ridiculous.

Yeah. Proof was posted on another thread that they had in fact been together in Portugal at the same since. It might be helpful if posters checked back before launching the same old questions.

Never, but I don't read all threads !
I thought it was only the royal family that travelled on separate flights.

I remember that there was indeed a discussion on this. Certain people had stated that they had never been back to Portugal together and it was proven not to be true. Then, it turned into not going back to the Algarve together, and that wasn't true either. No idea what happened to that thread... neither do I find it worth the effort of searching.

It might be on this thread somewhere:

Angelo:
If you care to read back a few posts Eleanor you will see that the reference to them not returning together was made to Praia da Luz and not Lisbon or anywhere else in Portugal. It is the Portimao police who have the case on their books yet marked unresolved.
