We don't know what they are working on but analysing phone usage on May3 is good enough for the beginning and reinterviewing the staff and taking it on from the scratch.

I do so agree with you.  It's the leaking that bothers me.  This is what caused most of the problems in the first place.  And now they are at it again.

Well, maybe the leak did not come from the PJ but from people they questioned in relation with this lead.

It was written by three journalists, including a senior reporter who recently gave evidence at the ongoing libel trial the McCanns brought against Goncalo Amaral over a controversial July 2008 book he wrote falsely accusing them of faking their daughter's abduction to cover up her death

So maybe it came from Amaral, since he is in good relations with the journalist who wrote it?

I very much doubt that his wife has had anything to say about it as she is likely to be implicated.

Amaral?  How would he know?  And the journalists must have got it from somewhere before they could tell him.
