i'll tell you why they didn't arrest them  ..... they had NO! evidence against them ....they didn't have one iota of evidence ....and that's why amaral is in court .....for libel and hampering the search for madeleine ....the dogs aren't evidence and don't stand up in a court of law ....

The reason is perfectly simple.  There simply was insufficient evidence to secure a conviction in a Court of Law and at the end of the day that's what matters.   As it is I don't buy this do(d)ggy evidence ; there's too much of the  dog that didn't bark in the night about this one.

If there was a Prosecutor with balls they all would have been put to jail until the neglect was clarified. That's why Mr. British Ambassador was in Portimão headquarters little after the police team was assembled.

What you mean is that if there was a prosecutor willing to bend the law towards your fascist position, they would have been arrested.

A Prosecutor that would apply the law. In Portugal it is a crime to leave toddlers alone without adult supervision.
The Tapas 9 accounts for their supervision were not enough to obviate a clear situation of outstanding neglect. Any portuguese couples in that situation would have been taken to Courtand the children, if not taken, supervised by the Social Services.

The McCann and co. getting away with such a crime was very badly taken in Portugal, by the people.
