CMTV reconstitutes the Maddie case
« on: November 16, 2013, 06:22:42 AM »
I hope we can get a link of this in the next few days, it looks as though it could be very helpful in the search for the child.

Unedited images of what happened on the fateful night of the 3rd of May of 2007, at the Ocean Club resort.

by: Paulo João Santos

CMTV (channel 8 on MEO) presents tomorrow, between 21h15 and 22h15, an unpublished programme dedicated to the disappearance of Madeleine McCann: the reconstitution of the evening of the 3rd of May of 2007, the last time the British child was seen alive in Praia da Luz, in Lagos.

The trip to the Ocean Club, the resort where the McCann family was staying, lasts eight minutes, during which viewers will have the opportunity to follow, with rigour, what happened that evening when the little girl, then aged three, disappeared from the room where she was sleeping with her twin siblings.

The reconstitution of the fateful evening of the disappearance involved 10 actors and was carried out at three different locations. It is the result of two weeks of work, with four days and two nights of recording. It involves unpublished images that were taken inside the apartment at the Ocean Club. It's the first time a television will show the scene of the crime that took place in the Algarve.

The 'Maddie Special' also gathers four reports about the most striking moments of the investigation - which recently suffered a new impulse - and a debate with the personalities that followed all the incidents of the case step by step: Gonçalo Amaral, the inspector who was responsible for the investigation; and Rui Pereira, then the minister of Internal Affairs. The conversation will also have the participation of criminal psychologist Maria do Sameiro and Moita Flores, a university professor and former PJ inspector.

Hopefully in a few days we can have a decent discussion on its findings etc......

Hi not yet it will be soon. From snippets from friends who were up late last night looking and talking to a few in Portugal who watched it there was a lot of talk about how much wine was consumed at the table from till receipts, David Payne, the darkness, and the dogs.

Its sounds very interesting and is like night and day to crimewatch programme. It appears the CMTV programme holds no punches and says it like it REALLY happened.

I am taking diazepam to keep me calm lol...

We shall see.

Isn't this just basically a non-official reconstruction - albeit apparently based more on the police files than the crimewatch one?  Any channel can put together a reconstruction but without any kind of official angle (i.e. this is the one the PJ re-investigative force is putting forward as their take on things) it's just entertainment and nothing more meaningful?

I've not seen it (no TV), but I'm afraid it is a pseudo infotainment, the only interesting point being it there's only a room or not for an abductor. Gonçalo Amaral and Moita Flores were interviewed, but we know all what they know.

It's a non official reconstruction. It's a TV Show, equivalent to Crime Watchers, made in record time by a private TV channel, after the BBc refused to release the original crimewatchers in Portugal - although this channel was never interested in the BBC version.

They made a reconstitution based on the original PJ files, different from the first one but, in any case non liable because they feature exactly what was released by the Attorney General's PJ files.

a reconstruction in real time would be interesting.
Smithman carrying a child in his arms checked his watch after passing the Smith family and the time was 10:03. Both are still unidentified 10 years later.

Please give us some evidence for your claim that the BBC refused to release the Crimewatch reconstruction in Portugal or are you just making it up?

The Portugal News, October 17 2013 said:
Quote
The Deputy Director of News at SIC Television was meanwhile reported to have exchanged e-mails with the BBC in the days running up to the Crimewatch programme in order to secure the rights to the full programme, but to no avail.
“The BBC said they are not selling the rights”, Martim Cabral told The Portugal News, “therefore we cannot show it.”
Another Portuguese news channel, TVI, told The Portugal News that it had contacted the British national broadcaster prior to the airing of the show, as it sought to “acquire the programme for Portugal, which was denied.”

Brietta posted on 10/04/2022 “But whether or not that is the reason behind the delay I am certain that Brueckner's trial is going to take place.”

Let’s count the months, shall we?

Excellent Red, well found. It is lovely to see Gilet again though and him/her breaking the supporter board boycott too !

Oh oh is that the collective NOT decision of all pros to not post on this board again as posted on the board last night  then deleted by mods and then  pmd to us all before his banning,  by the troll debunker unsolicted like? Yep...good riddance.......to intimidatiry rubbish and lies...lost his perpetually failing mission so b....red off......

OK its obvious  to all sentient rational beings Portugal was prevented from airing crimewatch......another stone unturned....from a place a big stone could have come from, I suppose they think Germans  Brits or Irish hold the key to the puzzle wierd case isnt it.......
