So I take it you accept Gerry said nothing about a key?
Gerry said nothing about the sound the key made in the lock ... I was not quoting verbatim and made a
mistake ... I'm sorry
To be honest I did not think it was necessary to check on what the 'precise' noise Gerry thought would wake the children up if they used the front door ( I
assumed that the sound of the door being unlocked would be harder to avoid that the actual opening and closing of the door .. which could be managed quite quietly if done gently and carefully )
The 'real' point I was hoping to get across was that using the front was decided against by the McCanns for fear of the noise waking the childeren ... indicating that they knew the children were quite light sleepers
That brings into question the fact that the twins were in a profoundly deep sleep on the night Madeleine was reported missing ... and might suggest they had been sedated
