The dog would react in either case, sorry, but I still dont understand what point you are tryng to make.....if it is , apologies if second guessing wrongly,that the dog might be reacting to burnt pig, then Ive never heard of any burnt pigs around any missing person case the dog has worked on

The point is that Martin Grime said the dogs wouldn't alert to foodstuff,  well we eat pork don't we,  he burnt pork Eddie alerted to it.   So what the heck is he talking about the dog won't alert to foodstuff.

Because its different....a treated and processed slaughtered pig for consumption  is not the same as a rotting decaying pig! The dog is trained on the scent of decay/decomposition

The pork we buy store cook and eat is not decayed or decomposed.....cant explain it any better....sorry

I have never seen a beef in a farm either Anne,  but pig meat burned is the same as human meat burned,  the dog wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

to be honest  would   decent human beings  with good hygene  standards  store  rotting meat in  a  boot?  i wouldnt  think so most doctors are paranoid about hygene?? i find  that inpossible to believe
