In Portuguese but well worth watching.  Includes an interview with Goncalo Amaral and Moita Flores in Part II.

CMTV makes a reconstruction of the Maddie case.

The CMTV (channel 8 MEO ) presents a unique program dedicated to the disappearance of Madeleine McCann : the reconstruction of the night of 3rd May 2007, the last time the British child was seen alive in Praia da Luz , Lagos.

A trip to Ocean Club resort where the McCann family was staying, lasts eight minutes, during which viewers will have the opportunity to follow strictly what happened that night when the girl, then three years disappeared from the room where she slept with the twins.

The reconstruction of the fateful night of the disappearance involved 10 actors and was conducted in three different locations. It is the result of two weeks of work, taking four days and two nights filming. It includes unseen footage made inside the apartment at the Ocean Club. It is the first time that a television presentation will show the scene of the crime which occurred in the Algarve.

The ' Maddie Special  ' also incorporates four reports on the most significant moments of the investigation - which have recently gained new momentum - and a debate with the personalities closely involved in all parts of the case : Gonçalo Amaral, the PJ inspector responsible for investigating and Rui Pereira, then Minister of Internal Affairs. The studio discussion will involve criminal psychologist Maria Sameiro and Moita Flores, a university professor and former PJ inspector.

Well, my previous posting querying the language seems to have disappeared.  But this write up still talks about her "twin brothers"....

Its a pity there isn't a subtitled version of the interview with Gonçalo and Moita.  Maybe one of our Portuguese speakers could translate it.

A malicious prosecution for a crime which never existed. An exposé of egregious malfeasance by public officials.
Indeed, the truth never changes with the passage of time.

Which bits?
I too would love a transcript in English....I like the way they reconstructed the whole day, gave more backround.....better than the flimsy crimewatch thing

At least it is in the real place, but there are many mistakes as I already said.
The funny part is when Moita Flores observes that the suspects of abduction are always dead men.
He's very critical of the PJ team about letting the case becoming a fairy tale by :
1) not rapidly requesting from the judge to have the phones under monitoring since all stats say that in any murder case (not only in the case of a missing child) the best suspects are the closest persons,
2) not checking the PRs as well
and 3) not requesting a reconstruction at any cost since there were too many discrepancies in the statements.
GA protests that the embassy etc. interventions were obstructing. Imo that was subliminar intimidation only but one has to put the things in context and this context is a mixture of pride and inferiority feelings.
