I think everyone would agree that at the moment the McCanns are not suspects and both SY and the PJ are looking at a possible abduction....this means that there must be indications that an abduction is a possibility.
if new evidence comes to light then things could change but as it stands SY must have looked at all the evidence...including the dogs...and have ruled out the parents

I have never seen a quote from any Portuguese authority source that there is an option of the parents who are currently not being suspects becoming the suspects in future..

Does it really matter? The priority is solving the case, their status is totally secondary. Seeing as they have not been totally "cleared" by any police force or judicial authority you will have to wait and see
