A brief interjection.

On Sky News a report that Redwood is looking for an individual who sexually assaulted young girls in the Algarve between 2004 and 2010.

Watch crimewatch tonight.

Have we been given the nationality of this person?
I believe everything. And l believe nothing.
I suspect everyone. And l suspect no one.

Now when they have this distinctive top with the circle on the back it will refresh someone's mind.. this person is going to be found..

I think what they are doing is an investigation by elimination.. one by one, they tackle a subject of suspicion.. they check it inside out and move to the next one..

There's a word for that, VIXTE...

Latest.

Officers from Operation Grange have identified a series of 12 crimes between 2004 and 2010 where a male intruder entered villas occupied by UK families on holiday in the Western Algarve.

In four of these incidents - between 2004 and 2006 - the man sexually assaulted five white girls, aged between seven and 10, while in their beds.

The suspect is described as having tanned skin with short, dark, unkempt hair.

Witnesses say he spoke English with a foreign accent and his voice has been described as slow, or possibly slurred.

On two occasions, in Vale de Parra and Praia da Gale, he was wearing a distinctive burgundy long-sleeve top with a white circle on the back.

Sometimes he was bare chested, displaying what several witnesses describe as a pot belly.

Three victims talked of a noticeable odour.

Oh dear, Luz will be upset at such a revelation!

A malicious prosecution for a crime which never existed. An exposé of egregious malfeasance by public officials.
Indeed, the truth never changes with the passage of time.

As no one has been apprehended or convicted, this would be 'alleged' at present , I presume

Perhaps they have exhausted all avenues open to them and have decided to ask the public for assistance. They often do....and it does get results at times.

Yes, that seems plausible - it happens in other cases, when unrevealed leads seem to end up in dead ends.

Even if it turns out to be unrelated to the McCann case, it may be significant for the families of other children.

A swarthy gentleman. All the alleged victims are English. TITTMTSWNBI

Check out Redwoods video clip. How did he keep a straight face ! Bin men! fmg.
I notice the guardian on line thingy has been "doctored" since this morning with the removal of the bit about the efits being done by McCann detectives in 2008.
Then there is this
Clarence Mitchell, spokesman for the McCann family, said: "Kate and Gerry still believe that Madeleine is alive and out there to be found, and that is why they are so pleased that the British police are doing such a good job on this."

Oh what !

There have been some strange claims as to why the CPS were in Portugal...the following quote from the guardian article explains  exactly why....

Scotland Yard has indicated its irritation with the slowness of the formal legal process that would allow its officers to work on the ground in Portugal. The Crown Prosecution Service has three so-called letters of request being considered by the country's legal system, among 30 from Britain on the case now being considered across Europe.

So there you are ...

Extremely interesting that Redwood has now admitted that Madeleine might not have left the apartment alive!   Wasn't he cute to slip that one in?

That has always been a possibility, hasn't it? My issue is that the forensic sweep was by no means thorough and there is no established forensic evidence either way. (There are, however, missing and unidentified hairs, though - I hope they're found somewhere in the depths of the PJ's scientific repository's black hole.) In the absence of anything concrete to suggest that she may have died there, then she could have been taken out alive, and may still be alive somewhere.

I didn't watch Crimewatch

Did Andy Redwood say  WHY  the assumption that Madeleine had been alive when she left the apartment   'may not follow with all their thinking'  on the case  ?

Did he give any indication why they think Madeleiene may have died in the apartment  ?

...  that  IS  what he was saying,  wasn't it  ?
