the resort owners and management knew about a lot of crime in the area and kept quiet...and yes...they should take some of the blame...this has already been discussed

I think I understand where WS is coming from on this. We have reports of intruders and assaults but very little in the way of corroborating detail. We don't know if the "assaults" were reported to the Portuguese Police, we don't know if they were investigated and binned, we don't know if they have any link to the McCann case. We don't know why the families involved didn't kick up a huge furore over them. Yet reading this forum you would think a smoking gun had been uncovered.
