Is anyone keeping a register of all those persons and organisations who have a share of the responsibility for the disappearance of Madeleine McCann?
It seems to be an ever expanding list. Stick anyone on the list except the parents.
The list does not expand. It is as it was on the 3rd May 2007. The difference is that crimes of which we were in ignorance are now very much in the public domain.
The last thing a holidaymaker expects in a small town advertising family holidays is the added presence of a paedophile who enters holiday homes to assault their children. We now know better.
We can see from Eamonn Holmes interview with Paul Luckman that people were in total denial even that burglaries were taking place.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKx0ND1jBwA We now know better, and are bemused at a local editor who professes such ignorance of events in the small town covered by his newspaper.
In such a climate of denial where not even elementary precautions such as additional lighting or the installation of CCTV was considered appropriate it is hardly surprising that families were lulled into a false sense of security.
Given the level of unchecked and denied lawlessness and assaults on children we now know about, it was a matter of time before something more abominable happened to someone’s child.
The child it did happen to was Madeleine McCann.
Make no mistake about it the responsibility for this crime lies squarely with the perpetrator/s and those who by their inaction allowed the inevitable to happen.
If the people who did know about these events, or who should have known about these events obviously didn't expect a child to be kidnapped, how could holidaymakers be on their guard for something they had no warning about at all?
