Id love to see proof that this sticker was in all apartments. It certainly was NOT in the apartment we stayed in. You see some of the apartments are privately owned, some owned by Ocean Club. Ocean club will rent out apartments to MW on behalf of some owners...while other apartments are rented out directly from owner to customer. Therefore you cannot state that all apartments had these stickers. They didnt4

How about simple bloody commonsense ?

Yes, good points. I am pretty sure they didn't use a baby sitter for a very simple reason...they have to have more than one nanny in the crèches during the day. The fronts of the buildings have large glass windows so passers by can see what is going on. Now, the nannys have all been checked and are fantastic, but......a stranger then in a closed room looking after children....Has no one stopped to think about that yet?

I have and agree with you.

The McCanns had 3 tired, under 4yr olds tucked up asleep in bed. The decision (which had worked), to follow their usual routine and check them frequently seemed sensible at the time. After all, the place advertised itself as a family friendly village. Actually a rather boring quiet place imo.

Sadly as we all know, it turned out to be the worst decision/mistake of the McCanns lives and they have paid for it every day for 7 years.

And very possibly for the rest of their lives.

as I have said many times...the butlins style baby listening has been used for 50 years and not  one reported incident...sounds pretty safe to me...but then stranger abduction is very...very..rare

Why don't you comment on the things the mccanns failed to do or take up the services offered by Mark Warner ?

I know.

Shame more attention isn't focused on who took poor Madeleine, instead of her parents decision.

Sadly that decision cannot be undone.

An identical safety sticker was definitely present on the sliding balcony door of apartment G5A.

Watching Mr Amaral's film I observed at that filming date not just one, but two stickers on the sliding balcony door.
Fortunately I can now confirm that both stickers were indeed present in early May 2007.
I posted the text of one of the stickers (see photo above of same sticker at a nearby apartment).
The other sticker has a larger amount of text - I assume it is possibly further safety advice to guests.
I don't know what the text is - I will try to find out - not easy - but hopefully not impossible.

Given that holidaymakers of various nationalities used OC, which language would have been reasonable for Warner to use?  Would it have been acceptable if the notices had been in Portuguese?

We are interested specifically in apartment G5A and here is proof that the safety sticker definitely was present.
First is a photo of an identical sticker at a later date at a different apartment.
Next is a PJ forensics photo taken at G5A in early hours of 04 May 2007,
(Source: Volume 4 Page 970 Foto 8).
And then the same photo mirrored left to right.

Your attention to detail is extraordinary, pegasus.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

The lower sticker (full text posted above) is in english and therefore was seen by and almost certainly read by every english-reading person who opened or closed that sliding door in the period 28 April to 04 May 2007.
If we succeed in finding out what the larger upper sticker says, we may find it gives the same text as the lower sticker, but translated into several languages (or we may find it gives further safety or security advice in english), I don't know.

Yes I agree the child could have yelled from the balcony and possibly be heard at the tapas table.
Yes I agree the tapas table can be seen from the balcony, by a person of adult height (I think a small child would not be able to see however this is easily solved for example by simply standing on a plastic chair)

But your suggestions would be in direct contravention of this very clear safety sticker
(Photo is of a nearby apartment, exact same sticker was in 5A, definitely)

You seem to be stating that the child could easily have gone onto the balcony to see and shout at the tapas table?
The sticker says "Supervise your children at all times when on the balcony"
From what distance would this important supervision have been in your scenario?

Sorry, but you are wrong Pegasus.  No warning sticker on this PJ photo.

http://www.mccannpjfiles.co.uk/PJ/01_VOLUME_Ia_Page_19_small1.jpg

Nor on this one

http://www.gerrymccannsblogs.co.uk/-image007_small.jpg

Seems someone altered it afterwards.

Now who would do that?  And why?

Now the other matter of having to stand on a plastic chair.   No need.  IMO, Madeleine could have seen just standing there and if she couldn't then all she had to do was stand on the low wall that the railings themselves stood on.  That would lift her several inches.  Sorry but I haven't estimated it just, but did at one time and IIRC it was about 8 or 9".
Please correct me if I am wrong

Immediately she came out (if she did, and I personally do not believe she did) she would have been atrtracted to the liight and movement at the tapas Restaurant and her Dads voice  .... and have looked even more in that direction.  Standing on the low railing wall if necessary

Madeleine is no fool.  She would have yelled and almost withouit doubt, they would have seen her and heard her.
A mother is tuned into the sound of the cries of HER children

But, Pegasus, she didn't go there.   Madeleine was carried out the front door, in an unconsciious state.  I would bet my bottom dollar on it.

I am sorry Pegasus but your photo of the sticker in isolation is proof of NOTHING.  See my post above.  That is proof.
