The really frightening thing is that a lot of the jihadists, both homegrown and from elsewhere, are educated!  It might be more understandable if they were illiterate, poorly educated peasants/tribes people cut off from civilisation as we know it but this is not the case at all!  It's a very dangerous religious ideology that needs curbing fast!
