Martin Brunt might not be the right person to report on this issue.
Wasn't he the person who set these people off by wrongly reporting about 100% proof of Madeleine's DNA found in the rented car?
And then this information went on internet and was published in all major papers in the world.
Not everyone is reading papers all the time. There are people who don't care about Madeleine at all but had long time read the report that Madeleine was hidden in her parent's rented car.. this made their opinion and once the opinion is made it is really hard to overturn it.

Regarding the abusers.. there are people who are obsessed with the McCanns.. I have a feeling they don't think about anything else but the McCanns. Maybe this is a mental illness,  maybe this is their way of escaping the reality.Their brain just compares everything with the McCanns every little story that is mentioned on the news or in the media.

I followed Madeleine story from the day one. I was there when the hate campaign started, it was on the Mirror forum. Anyone remembers this?

There are people in the world who have no offline friends, who have lousy lives and are not respected or recognised in their own communities. In anti McCann campaign they found their own importance, they formed friendships with the people who think the same.. outside this group they know they are nobodies.

It would be good if Martin Brunt made a clean breast of it and publicly admitted his error.

That might help

The solution to the resolution of alleged threats issued against Dr Amaral and his supporters might be addressed by those who are affected compiling an eighty page dossier detailing them and handing same into the police for action … along the lines of what has been done detailing threats to the McCann family.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

A classic propaganda technique, dehumanise the enemy !

Really didn't work this time though did it because apart from her on-line behaviour ( do we know yet what she tweeted/posted ) Sweepyface, or whatever she is called, seemed just like you and me as she was leaving her very nice house in a very quaint little village to go for lunch with a friend. She was decently dressed, erudite and not easily intimidated even when being shamelessly doorstepped by Martin Brunt.

The compiler of the dossier, on the other hand, chose to remain anonymous but from what she said she did come across as just a tad obsessed. Of course the dossier was leaked to the press by her. It was sent to the Met on the 9th of September but having, I suppose, gotten fed up waiting for her fifteen minutes of fame she did the dirty deed herself. The Met for their part, from their statement, seemed less than convinced that any action would result and quite right too.

From the number of new members joining the sceptic Facebook groups today this seems to have been another massive own goal for the MCanns. The information sites have also seen a dramatic rise in hits too. The public can't be forced to trust the McCanns and will carry on asking questions no matter what the consequences.

Kate and Gerry will never achieve what they want most which is to be washed clean of the guilt that hangs over them like a shroud. The public simply won't forget that their selfishness in all probability cost their child her life.

And you can stick that in your dossier !

Brietta posted on 10/04/2022 “But whether or not that is the reason behind the delay I am certain that Brueckner's trial is going to take place.”

Let’s count the months, shall we?

Does anyone wonder...why now?

Is the release of this troll dossier to the Met and the great British Press and the publication of a new book by Summers and Swan claiming a definitive analysis of the case just too much of a coincidence coming as it does just weeks before the libel trial concludes in Lisbon?

A malicious prosecution for a crime which never existed. An exposé of egregious malfeasance by public officials.
Indeed, the truth never changes with the passage of time.

Of course she is obsessed when she twits several times a day only about McCanns.. If that is not obsessed then what is obsessed?

To me that means she constantly thinks only about the McCanns? And her twits were hate twits.

He has destroyed himself.  No need for any input from anyone else

I was joking sadie. I cannot believe that anyone would connect this trolling business with Amaral..

But, if you look from another corner he is actually the centre of it. The old school! Because the all intentionally produced information that was passed to journalists in early days came from him and the sources around him. And this was the 'second hand' twisted and fabricated information that made minds of these people. And it still does. Unfortunately! Similar example would be that some people rather trust David Icke than the real scientists.  @)(++(*

I suspect that the trolling has to be nipped in the bud before something terrible happens. Reading a post on F/B, Joana Morais seems to feel that the McCann libel damages trial will be clogged up in the 3.5m backlog cases as the system will only be dealing with priority cases & those which are expected to result in custodial sentences of 5 years or more. In those circumstances, it may be a year or more before matters are concluded - and the natives are very restless. Is it really fair to subject the McCanns to months/years more of inexcusable abuse whilst the Portuguese trawl their way through their judicial mess and the Met are still painstakingly working their way through the evidence?
You are right, though, Vixte - it does all go back to Amaral. A carefully designed chaos was orchestrated and the conductor used his baton  to ensure that all the headless chickens would always be directed into coop McCann.

Well done for finding something, but the two sets of "threats" do not compare Stephen.

The one set you have just raised is more like banter.  Banter that shouldn't have been said admittedly.  What The Mccanns have to endure is an altogether different ball game ... even inticement for others to join in the torture bullying, death threats.

And two little nine year olds included in the threats.

D.I.S.G.U.S.T.I.N.G.

Any threat of violence is inexcusable, wherever it comes from.

Unfortunately, it is not the only one.

The comment was not banter.

More in due course.

Well done to those who have compiled this dossier it's now up to the police and the law of the land. Interestingly this lady said she posted vile tweets because she was entitled to...that's the delusion of these people. It will be interesting to see what the police and courts think.

8)-)))

How quaint you are.

You do realise, do you, that all the abusive, bullying remarks made almost exclusively by your side will eventually lead to us ALL losing our Freedom of Speech

I condemn abuse and bullying by either side (though banter is fine). Personally, I don't have a side, I have my own opinions.
