Who else with, no criminal background, no evidence against them of any crime committed, is there to support?
No idea about supporting mccann trolls, telling lies about, or threatening any other persons of the qualities, aforementioned.
 However threats and lies are intolerable any where and should be dealt with by their Country’s police.

Wouldn't it just be easier for the Met to hand over their budget to the McCanns and they can divide it up as they see fit !

Hmmm ... which explains why people of your ilk like Stephen in the post above continually harp on about the cost of the search for Madeleine McCann.  You really want her found? ... strange ... when her parents were the only ones financing the search for her ... everyone was carping about the FF set up to finance the search.

It is about time the 'thousands' of trolls who are hounding Madeleine McCann's parents and siblings recognised the rule of law if not decency and conducted themselves accordingly.

Hopefully some may soon find the law does have teeth... and the present poster girl of the movement Ms 'Sweepyface' who is not by far the worst offender is deemed to have suffered enough humiliation in her naming and shaming (and believe me, in the eyes of decent people she is shamed).

Someone somewhere is organising this and they too may be unmasked and challenged legally on their motives, who knows we may discover something very interesting which could tie in with your last sentence.
Might be why it has taken an outside complaint to 'out' these trolls - it maybe suited not to - give them enough rope etc. etc.

Please show me where I have EVER complained about the cost of the search for Madeleine. I have NOT,so please do not attribute such lies to me. I have no problem with the cost of the search,my only opinion is that the same should be afforded to other families of British missing children,for example Ben Needham's family.

[ moderated ] ...you see fit to post that there is “plenty of circumstantial evidence against them (the McCanns)” and have a hissy fit when called out on it.

Hopefully once a few troll prosecutions have occurred it will be realised that such unfounded accusation even if repeating someone else is entirely unacceptable.

I am delighted that you have no problem with the cost of the search for Madeleine, but as a matter of interest can you tell me in what way you have assisted Ben Needham’s family or the families of other missing people other than to use them pejoratively?

There's a long article about Sweepface troll in the Times today, which has attracted 232 readers' comments , the vast majority of which condemning the actions of her and her fellow h8ers and supportive of the McCanns.  It's interesting how much more civilised the readers comments are when there is a paywall in place, far fewer anonymous and abusive trolls.

Unfortunately there are thousands of people that do not believe the Mccann's story. People intelligent enough to see that there is very little evidence to support the abduction claim. Its not that these people wish for Madeleine not to be found,its that they wish for whoever is responsible for her disappearance to be brought to justice.

You are correct Amanda, in that many people do not believe the McCanns, but as to intelligence, how can they openly accuse and threaten people, when there is absolutely no reliable evidence, to back it up, at the risk of being arrested?
I also find it difficult to believe, that anyone would not want the child found and the culprit/s responsible for her disappearance punished.
 None of us can say, that we know by whom or in which manner the child disappeared, so wild accusations are just plain silly and irresponsible.
 We can all speculate and nothing more, while we await the results of the present investigation.
