'Madeleine McCann internet trolls are devoid of humanity – much like the people who abducted her.'

So, the Mirror apparently knows that Maddie was abducted.

Perhaps, rather than popping at trolls, they could just help convert us with the truth that they are privy to.

They could stop the trolling & help free Dr's McCann if they did that.

Why don't they just do that?

Redwood has said they are not suspects..do you not believe him

Actually, was this the same paper with an employee called Tony Parsons, a troll, who called the Portuguese 'Sardine Munchers' and other xenophobic terms ?

IMO of course.

have you reported this to the police

Didn't you know dave, it was, several years ago.

Unfortunately the press regulated themselves at the time.

However, don't worry.  8**8:/:

Indeed she will need one, anyone who 'sees the light' and thinks enough is enough very quickly find themselves fair game.

I read that just prior to news of the start of the investigation into the worst of the McCann trolls one of the most dedicated long term offenders had suggested in posts that it was perhaps time to ‘call a halt’ for the sake of the twins.
Only to be ridiculed, abused and ostracised by people who are quite happy to continue to endanger two innocent children and keep on abusing their parents.

Weird people.
It's depressing when one of these abusers starts to show a shred of humanity, how all the other abusers pile in on top of them.  I've seen it happen several times before, most notably when a regular abuser stalked Kate McCann in a shop once and came to the conclusion, after initiating conversation with her and then receiving a hug from her, that she wasn't such an evil woman after all.  I remember that went down like a lead balloon with all the other abusers!

Give it a rest, please, Stephen.  All threats against anyone from anyone will not be tolerated on this Forum.  And no one condones them either.

I am trying to be even handed Eleanor.

I didn't say threats had been made from this forum.

However, if Alfred wishes to bring up those threatening  the mccanns, it seems only fair to pint out this has been two way traffic, and you know already how I condemn that kind of behaviour.

Yes, I know that you condemn this kind of behaviour, Stephen.  And well said by you early on.  But trying to force people to admit it themselves is a bit pointless.

This Thread is about people trolling The McCanns, and this is vastly well spread, unlike the trolling by McCann Supporters.

It's not the same thing at all Stephen.   The police are not interested in posters exchanging abuse on forums or people expressing their dislike or even hatred for the McCanns.    It is the multitude of threats of violence etc being made against one specific family that is being investigated.

The notion that innocence prevails over guilt – when there is no evidence to the contrary – is what separates civilization from barbarism.    Unfortunately, there are remains of barbarism among us.    Until very recently, it headed the PJ in Portimão. I hope he was the last one.

Of course it's in the same frame.

Abuse is still abuse.

As are THREATS.

The police investigation is into ''McCann internet trolls''.   What is there not to understand in that clear statement.
Posters slinging abuse at oneanother on the internet are not part of that remit.

What abuse was sent to the McCanns?

Anyone know?

Or was Carole Malone just being disingenuous ?

You don't seriously think that The McCanns haven't been getting Hate Mail, do you?

I just hope that whoever has been sending it has licked the envelope.  If they have licky envelopes anymore.

I didn't know actually, but if you know - then I suggest you immediately report them to the police as that it what they deserve IMO.

Am off to cook lunch now Stephen  -  bye.
