Has Jeremy ever been assessed for psychopathy?
« on: November 16, 2014, 08:53:36 PM »
I find it very difficult to believe what is written on jeremybamber.org. it claims

Quote
In truth Jeremy Bamber has been examined by over 27 different psychologists, none of them have found him to have a personality disorder of any variety, nor any mental illness, nor any indication of psychopathy.

Now bare in mind psychologists are not psychiatrists, It is usually only a psychiatrist that can make a formal diagnosis. Unless your a psychologists with a doctorate like Dr Hare

The Hare psychopathy checklist (PCL-R) should only be used by experts. But apparently JB did not score high enough on this diagnostic but who done this examination? probably someone who supports his cause who does not know how to use it. Dr Hare has stated in the wrong hands you get a wrong result. However I think a genuine professional assessment on JB would be pointless by now as he would know what's happening and probably knows the diagnostic criteria enough to pass an examination of such by lying.

I am convinced he does have psychopathy simply by his look. Those with psychopathy tend to have a cold predatory gaze with no emotion in the eyes. They say with psychopaths the eyes don't match the mouth or the situation.

Would any normal individual have this expression on their face if they stand accused of killing their family?

It could be me but he has not emotion in his looks, like a reptile!

Then this photo, it seems like he is trying to smile or trying to hard to make a convincing smile.

You CAN'T diagnose a psychopath simply by the way they look - that theory went out with the Arc. The theory was developed by Cesare Lombroso in 19th century and that's where it belongs.

I never said you could. but a doctor does discuss this in the link below

I think this one proves beyond doubt JB is responsible:

Just my opinion of course but Jeremy Bamber is innocent and a couple from UK, unknown to T9, abducted Madeleine McCann - motive unknown.  Was J J murdered as a result of identifying as a goth?

I would imagine Prof Egan was competent to assess JB:

http://jeremybamber.org/psychological-reports/

I understand as a Cat A prisoner JB is regularly assessed as part of a risk assessment review.  Unless his conviction is quashed it's unlikely he will ever be freed ie parole so I imagine the risk assessments are to assess any risk to himself and others within the prison?  In any event I am sure those carrying out any risk assessments will be competent and meet Home Office/Prison Service criteria?

David I can't believe you are seriously suggesting that psychopaths, or any traits etc, can be identified by physical appearance?  However I do think sub-consciously prejudice plays a role not just by way of looks but other factors too eg lifestyle.

David, I find myself wondering what other things about a person you might be convinced by simply by their facial expression. Religion? Politics? Sexuality? Marital status?

No, Religion Politics Sexuality Marital status are different things altogether. But you do have intuition you can tell certain things about people. Jeremy's behaviour just don't seem to match the situation around him

What sort of behaviour would match such a situation?

I think it's perfectly possible to assume, that from an early age, Jeremy was of that era of adopted children, who's natural instincts and exuberance were stifled and he would have been moulded to "fit" into the family. This "moulding" would have continued at school. The chances are, that by the time he left, between family and school, all spontaneous reaction had been bred out of him. He most certainly wouldn't have been equipped to deal with what had happened because he hadn't been given the emotional tools.

You can see in photos of Jeremy´s birth family, that they are fun loving, very smiling and laughing people. The Bambers seemed more serene - there must have been a conflict there in some way, I can see that.

Abs, it seems that at one time there was a huge need to hide the fact that a child was adopted. Of course, it MAY have stemmed from the fear of the child standing out as being different from the family it was adopted into meaning that all traits of the biological family had to be eradicated.

I have never thought him a psychopath.

He was an inheritance killer. There have been a lot of them over the decades. Most were not brutal criminals beforehand & would not have committed crimes afterwards, if they had got away with it.

There were lots of other reasons why he committed the massacre. But the main reason was money.
