Spam, when did the Met announce that Smithman was their PRIME suspect? I thought they were keen to identify him, to either rule him in or rule him out. As far as I know the Met have done neither so he is still a person of interest to the investigation, but prime suspect...?   &%+((£

I'm confusing nothing dear Spammy, it is you who seems a trifle befuddled.   The McCanns sat comfortably alongside Andy Redwood in an extended Crimewatch programme broadcast to millions whilst he outlined the Met's shift of attention from Tannerman to Smithman.  The McCanns' own "media ally" (your words) claim that Smithman is the "prime suspect" - if the McCanns were eager to distance themselves from Smithman as you claim then they've gone about it in a very odd way!

yes...most extraordinary...all the other parents of high profile missing children cases are promoting all suspects on their websites...how very extraordinary the McCanns are...in the real world of course the explanation is quite simple....you suffer from extreme tunnel vision so are blind to the bigger picture...
