Some things just aren't meant to be, like you'd never have a Conservative SNP coalition government.

Cameron would have leapt into bed with Sturgeon at the drop of a hat if he'd needed to, don't kid yourself that politicians have any integrity.

So are you saying that if we "all work together" as Mercury has suggested it would show a collective lack of integrity?

No, I was saying politicians can't be assumed to have integrity in my opinion.

Thank you for that thought!
I agree with your sentiment however. One sniff of "The Power Tiller" and all bets are off.

It is odd, for wont of a better word, that some of the simplest issues cannot be agreed upon in order for any discussion to move on. That would be a good start. Instead, they keep being churned around relentlessly. A total waste of time IMO.

What do you believe we should all be able to agree on?

There is not much evidence of anything?

I already said : the simplest of issues. Things which are fact. The problem is, sometimes that the basic facts are questioned. For example, "what time were police called?". The PJ files show ths to be at twenty to eleven, but I have read posts that say they were called much earlier.

Unless there is documented evidence or multiple witness statements to the same fact, anything asserted has to be, for the most time ignored. IMHO

The one and only reason I read and/or contribute to this forum is that, strangely enough, we are all working together.

Like most teams working together, I doubt that you can get an agreement on anything other than the atomic statement that it has something to do with Madeleine McCann.

I read here because I pick up bits and pieces of info that I do not get elsewhere.

I contribute for a number of reasons.  Sometimes it is to see if folk can get their heads around the basics.  Sometimes I lob an idea in here to see if folks can shred it.

Think of us as all leading a team of one.  It's a big team.  It's just that we all think we are the leader.

PS I'm certain that I am.
What's up, old man?
