Just to clear the matter up once and for all is "Gonc" being pronounced "Gonth" "Gonss" or "Gonk" ?
I have never actually uttered the word out loud, but if I ever found myself in a situation where I had to discuss the vile little toad with another real life human then Gonk would probably be how I pronounced it, and it would suit him well, I think. 8)--))

That is unnecessarily vulgar Alfred.
Check out Gonk; Gonth and Gons in the urban dictionary (if you haven't already).

So, if someone referred to Gerry McCann as Mcweenie, you would have no trouble in that presumably ?

None whatsoever, I've no idea what it means, and I'm sure he's been called a lot worse.

Awww..........Do you consider those Gonks to be "vile little toads," then?
Not all all, some of them are quite cute, and as far as I know none of them has made a living off the back of accusing the parents of a missing child of hiding her body on a beach.

You read it here folks Alf thinks Sr Amaral is a furry cuddly little toy (mid 1960s style).
Yes, only with slightly less appeal and intelligence (and dress sense).  8)--))

When debates degenerate to this "over the fence little gossiping women" syndrome, obviously someone has too much time on their hands IMO!

It takes two to tango.
I believe everything. And l believe nothing.
I suspect everyone. And l suspect no one.
I gather the facts, examine the clues... and before   you know it, the case is solved!"
