Is this the potboiler which will overturn his conviction that you've been on about, Holly?... a cobbled together rehash of all the propaganda on his cookery website - Fruitcakes-R-Us. Including the tired old myth about Sheila's body being spotted lying on the kitchen floor, followed by a miraculous reawakening and dash upstairs, all without any blood dripping onto the front of her nightie.

They're obviously reeling from two knockout blows the latest books have hit them with. It's about time they learned to stop punching above their weight and the faced reality that Bamber will never see the outside of Wakefield Prison... unless it's a return journey to await the 40th anniversary at Full Sutton.

I've paid very little attention to the OS/CT so I'm prepared to read it while I'm away on hol and hear what they have to say but I will make notes and let JB know what I agree/disagree with.  If he doesn't take on board feedback from a variety of sources then that's his loss. 

JB states in a letter to CAL there are several books being written about the case so whether this is it ie PH, CAL and CT or the best is yet to come I wouldn't like to say 

I don't think the two books harm JB's case at all.  PH has lost any credibility he ever had by devoting much of his book to an 'anonymous' letter claiming SC was JB's accomplice and the adopted siblings pre-arranged the murder of their adoptive parents.  PH obviously thinks the letter is credible hence he included it in his book AND sent a copy to EP AND was surprised when they didn't respond!  I fail to see anyone who knows little or nothing about the case reading CAL's book and thinking well he's definitely guilty as charged.  I think most will be left wondering.  It's different for the likes of us who have made our minds up and in the absence of anything new and substantial are unlikely to change.

I read the first few chapters but then got turned off.  Nothing to do with the book per se I was just overdosed on JB/WHF books having read CAL and PH during July.  I'll read the CT's book in the next few weeks.

I wasn't too keen on the style.  Issues such as a claimed phone call from NB to EP, SC being in the kitchen based on the logs and 'in conversation with someone in the farm' are told as fact rather than possibilities based on police documents.  I very much doubt any of these issues have any truth to them and its simply a case of ambiguities and errors in paperwork.  You could look at any industry 30 years ago and the communication/paperwork/audit trails were crap by today's standards.  As far as I am aware no attempt has been made to authenticate the CT's claims by engaging the services of a forensic document examiner?  I doubt any of it is capable of passing the CCRC. As far as I am concerned there are other areas more worthy of being pursued eg the injuries NB sustained upstairs making a "struggle" impossible.  Especially a struggle over control of the rifle which scratched the Aga!   

The book is also highly critical of the police and yet JB's defence seem to emerge unscathed?

The Bamber family is portrayed as akin to the Waltons.  Whereas in reality they were grossly dysfunctional. Nothing about June's two breakdowns prior to adopting JB one triggered by SC's adoption. 

Do the CT all sing from the same hymn sheet?  Is JB editor in chief? 

I'm sure I'll find some positives just need to read on.... &%+((£
