As I have said there is no precise legal definition of having been ruled out
Therefore I am fully entitled to use this rather loose term ... gunit is wrong again in thinking it has some precise definition

Why legal? It means something has been excluded or someone has been exonerated or eliminated. That has never been said by any policeman, senior or otherwise to my knowledge. You can use it as much as you like, but you can't attribute it to the police.

you've led a bit of a sheltered life then, as far as this case is concerned.  Is thismthe only forum you've ever belonged to or read rearding this case?  Never read:
The Mirror Forum
The Three Arguidos
Facebook Controversy page
The Complete Mystery of Madeleine McCann
Hideho's propangda videos and various blogs and fora
#McCann on twitter
Joana Morais
Blacksmith
etc
etc
etc
etc
etc
If not (and excuse me if I find it very hard to believe that you have not) then you probably won't know what I'm talking about.

So your post wasn't about the people posting on this forum? It would help next time you have an emotional rant if you make it clear who you're talking about. This forum is moderated so excesses from either side are not allowed. That's why I'm here. What happens elsewhere does not concern me.

the main reason why I find it difficult to believe the parents dunnit is the fact that Madeleine's body was not recovered in the aftermath of the disappearance. Bearing i. mind that the McCanns had limited opportunities to transport and dispose of a body how do "sceptics" deal with this detail?

so when Redwood said the McCanns are not suspects he wasn't ruling them out?  Puh-lease.

You are the one who said "anything is possible" so either it is or it isn't which would you like it to be this time?
Or are you doing a Humpty Dumpty?

yes anything's possible, so let's explore possible body disposal methods and how likely they would be in reality.  I'm not quite sure wher HD fits into it though.

why are sceptics reluctant to consider what may have happened and how it could have happened?  Is it because it gets in the way of their blind belief in the McCanns guilt?

Yet you have clearly blind belief in the McCanns.
