The theory of accidental death remains plausible.

Some should take gerry mccanns advice.

There appears to be a misconception that all sceptics believe GA's theory.

Indeed.

Other theories have been espoused on here.

I think we, who hold to (and hold out for) truth and justice, understand there are other 'theories' (I use the term in the loosest sense) still more madcap and whacky than Amaral's.

Amaral, at least, had the (comparative) sense to dismiss those.

He, after all, presided (for a few months) over an investigation that found no evidence against the McCanns, or any of their friends (as made plain in the Prosecutors' archiving report).

Wrong.  The police have made one statement about the McCanns' status in this investigation and that is that they are not suspects, in other words they have been ruled out.  That is a fact.  It is a fact to say that the police have ruled the McCanns out, we heard it from the horse's mouth.  It is possible that things may change in the future (anything's possible!) but at the moment we know only that the McCanns are not suspects so we will continue to use that "mantra" until or unless other facts emerge that supersede it.

I'm sure you will, because it seems to be all you have, judging by this thread. As to whether it means what you think (or hope) it means, everyone knows the Police can change their minds. They won't tell you, of course because it's for them to know what they're doing. The Portuguese finally managed to shut SY up, I believe.

Yet you cling to the whacky theory of abduction, despite there being no proof of it at all in this case.

That's because we're all part of a hate filled 'gang' who have no minds of our own and are only here to heap criticism upon the heads of two innocent, heartbroken, caring, people because we just don't like them. How on earth could such an unintelligent rabble read the files, study the videos and news reports, and work out theories of their own? It's obvious we're unintelligent because if we weren't we'd be able to see how wrong we are.   8**8:/:

That GA's theory doesn't stand up to scrutiny is possibly something that most of us here can actually agree on...

Well I've been told I'm a 'McCann worshipper'   'In fantasy land'   etc. etc.    All because I read the files and came to the conclusion the McCann's are innocent.

It's not that you heap criticism upon the heads of two innocent, heartbroken, caring people because you just don't like them.  End of quote.    It's because some arguments as to the McCann's being guilty are full of pettiness, eg.  they smiled,   they mixed up whose photo was used,   David P.  isn't good at time,   why didn't the McCann's watch Madeleine on the boat etc. etc.   all absolute rubbish and  nothing to do with what happened to Madeleine

Accidental death remains a possibility.

As does walking out of the apartment.

Essentially, non of the theories have enough evidence to take to court.

As the crime is unknown, the verdict of, not guilty or guilty of a crime, is in the hands of a court.

Are the mccanns innocent of leaving their children unprotected in unlocked accomodation, with infrequent and mostly unverified checks ?

Didn't SY mention that Madeleine may have been killed by accident during a burglary?

The walking out of the apartment looks to have been ruled out,   Madeleine was almost four,  no child of that age would bother closing doors and gates behind them,  especially as one of the gates [child gate] was on top of a flight of steps,   she would have to have turned around in the dark to close it.

SY have ruled them out,  obviously by reading all the files.

As to last question  ZZZZZZ

The obvious question is,  why haven't SY arrested the McCann's if they think they are guilty?  Instead of spending years and 12 million pounds?

The last question is the one you can't answer, because you know it's factual.

Unlike the 'abductor'.
