I suppose Hopkins thinks that women who are raped bear some of the blame too? Not the perpetrator. Of which there is no mention in her 'story'. On a recent, excellent BBC show (The Moral Maze) this woman admitted she doesn't spend any time thinking through her opinions.

There seems to be an assumption that KH will not have taken legal advice prior to her pronouncements. To paraphrase some on here that doesn't make sense.

The McCanns go for the newspaper, not the journalist usually. Is the Mail taking a risk or is it confident about this story for some reason?

Interesting that the Mail should run a McCann sob story earlier today (or yesterday) and then follow on the this one by Hopkins.

Well bearing in mind the Mail's support for the mccanns in the past, has it finally shifted it's grounds, now the 'fund' is in decline.

Hopkins comments have gone viral on Twitter.

I haven't checked facebook, but it's probably a similar story on there.

The comments of support for Ms. Hopkins on the Mail comments are quite surprising and overwhelmingly in support of her.

The McCanns don't do twitter, do they, so will be dependent on Michael for their information.

It is a comment made by an anonymous person in the 'comments' section below the article. This anonymous person alleges that she admitted to something when she appeared on The Moral Maze'. Unless you heard the programme or have a transcript you are simply perpetuating a rumour.

this is a good line...

Maddie wasn’t lost because someone took her. She was lost because she was left to be found

so she says Maddie was not abducted...she will struggle to prove that in a libel court
