What exactly was it that rattled Ms Hopkins cage  to precipitate her self promoting mean spirited outburst this time?

Let me think back to the beginning ...

Got it!!!!

The mother of a missing child is doing something worthwhile and is spearheading a registration initiative funded by the Royal Mail for people to register to receive alerts in the event of a child going missing.

Her motivation and the driving force behind her involvement is the thought that had there been such a scheme in operation when her child went missing, her story might have had a different ending.

I have Googled a bit about Ms Hopkins career.

I have located a lot of negative and downright nasty comments emanating from her, most of which are designed to promote Ms Hopkins and denigrate just about everything under the sun ... as long as it creates a stir.
One of the penalties of living in an age where those with nothing better to do have been bedazzled by so called reality TV and its 'stars'.

I have seen nothing about any positive action she may have taken on behalf of any other than herself.

It says so much that to some she is a bona fide heroine to those who quite obviously wish the search for Madeleine McCann to be shut down.

For anyone in the United Kingdom who may wish to register and receive alerts on missing children, please text HERO and your postcode to 85080.

Registration costs a standard network text message rate.

"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

The criticism I see from the comments is not to leave children alone which is fair comment

I don't see much other criticism apart from that

We have heard it all before, Stephen.  Many times.

So what.

We've all heard about 'abduction', many times before.

But I thought the consensus of opinion was that The Government were shamed into helping The McCanns.  Am I wrong about that?

David Cameron and Teresa May were allegedly 'persuaded' by Rebecca Brooks.

So alright for some, but not for others.  Such hypocrisy leaves me defeated at times.

Thank you Brietta

slightly off topic, perhaps, but a good illustration of Hopkins dedication to the facts and the truth in her pursuit of "free speech" is her allegation towards Jack Monroe, who she accused of vandalising a war memorial.  She had in fact confused Jack Monroe with a journalist called Laurie Penny.   Ooops!

And of course an apology was somewhat beneath her.  I gather JM is now suing her for £50k.

And Hopkins being as nasty as she obviously is makes it all the more surprising how many members of the public are actually supporting her in this.
Brietta posted on 10/04/2022 “But whether or not that is the reason behind the delay I am certain that Brueckner's trial is going to take place.”

Let’s count the months, shall we?

Really?  How amusing.  So she got that wrong as well.

Not really.  There are some very nasty people out there, sad to say.

How many of the public are not supporting her on this?  Got any stats?   If you read the comments at the end of any article about the forthcoming EU referendum you'll be left with the impression that the vast majority of Britain will be voting Out.  So, is it a foregone conclusion that the Out vote will win by a large margin?  Are online newspaper comments really representative of the nation's views as a whole?

The self-promoting controversial Ms Hopkins who thrives on dissent has shot herself in the foot this time then. Her latest rant has brought her huge public support instead of vilification. Whoops!

Don't worry, she be back to being universally hated the next time she sneers at children's corpses being washed up on Turkish beaches.
