Anything would be better than the nothing offered so far.

Kindly note your opening sentence is a statement of fact, when you have nothing to support this fact.

So here is the truth.  The McCanns may or may not have been interviewed.  It would make sense that they should have.  There is no evidence that they have.

could you please stick to the facts...i have posted a definition of evidence and also the evidence which supports the fact that the interview will have taken place. You are at liberty to say you do not accept my evidence but please do not continue to post that I have not supplied any...that is unfair and untrue

I wasn't taking about gerry mccann with gerry mccann .

One could be forgiven for making the assumption you were posting about Gerry McCann since your response was to Benice who had posted about Gerry McCann.
Just another illustration of how easy it is to be mistaken about the intention of a statement ... so exactly who is it you were alleging 'hadn't got their story straight'?
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

Supposition is not evidence.

Thank goodness for this.  A small crumb of evidence amid all the verbiage.  By 5 Feb 2012, OG was not at the stage of interviewing anyone, assuming the report is correct.  Whether the McCanns had been interviewed is STILL open to question, but it appears the T7 had not.

'One small step for man ...'

Well done Mercury.

Are you aware that UK police had already conducted extensive interviews with the tapas that were recorded and conducted in english...even though they had these... according to this article they still intended to reinterview the tapas. They had no such interviews with the McCanns...evidence that they would certainly need to interview them.
as Eleanor said...
Of course The McCanns will have been interviewed.

Assume for instance that SY only had the same summarised non-verbatim statements that we have where Gerry apparently says he went into 5A by the front door using a key and then changed his statement in his next interview to say that he entered via the patio doors.

(a) Do you think SY are going to sit around puzzling and debating amongst themselves over why Gerry would make such an inexplicable claim and trying to fathom out what his reason for doing that would be?

or

(b) Do you think they would ask Gerry himself for an explanation as to why he changed his statement and then ask the Oporto Team to check his explanation with the PJ officers/translator who were present at that second interview?

Common sense dictates that it would  NOT be (a)

IMO.

You have no idea what OG might decide to do in the above situation. Your 'common sense' may not be shared by them. My 'common sense' tells me that sometimes detectives notice things but don't always act because;

1. They dismiss them as unimportant.
2. They add them to a list of similar queries which may need clarifying at some point.
3, They add them to a list of similar queries which will need clarifying at some point.

It's highly possible that a long list of queries would emerge if SY only had the same witness statements as we have to go on.

However the idea that they would not use their ability to contact the actual witnesses themselves for clarification but instead would behave as we  - (who don't have that ability to make checks with the folk concerned ) do -   is crackers IMO.

The notion that innocence prevails over guilt – when there is no evidence to the contrary – is what separates civilization from barbarism.    Unfortunately, there are remains of barbarism among us.    Until very recently, it headed the PJ in Portimão. I hope he was the last one.

What law has he broken ?

It seems he is clearly unaware the dogs indications were neither confirmed or dismissed.

He did not inform that phone call was being recorded and would be shared
11 hours of video and still he does not understand the alerts

They haven't really though have they?  Had nine years I mean.  Everything they have said officially is on file anything they have said in interview is on the record.  In effect their version of events hasn't changed in nine years.

Now think about the people who really have had nine years to get their story straight.

Not true Brietta. Kate in her very first statement said that immediately as entered the children's bedroom the curtains were open as were the windows and shutters. No whooshing of curtains. Of course by the 10th of May timeline Kate would have been aware that if, as they claimed, Tannerman was the abductor Matthew would have seen the open curtains, window and shutters on his 9.30 visit too, which of course he didn't and thus the miraculous closing of the curtains. Similarly Gerry opening the door with his key. By his 10th of May interview he will have realised that if Tannerman was already in the apartment at his 9.15 visit, as he claimed, he would have to have seen the open bedroom window as he passed it to get to the main door. And yet again the story changes.
Brietta posted on 10/04/2022 “But whether or not that is the reason behind the delay I am certain that Brueckner's trial is going to take place.”

Let’s count the months, shall we?
