Mission Control at Ocean Club after the disappearance.
« on: May 14, 2016, 08:25:00 PM »
@GUnit. NPIA expert Mark Harrison seems to have been unaware that two apartments were provided in block 4. He recommended that Eddie search 4-G, but made no mention of 4-I. Therefore Eddie never searched it.

Is 4I the one referred to as 'Mission Control'?

"... 15 May ... By this time we were using one of the apartments loaned to us by Mark Warner as an office ..."
It's unclear whether this is 4-I, or an unknown third apartment.

The Tapas supervisor was delivering food to just two apartments at the beginning [8th May statement];

That every day around 13H00, he heads to no. 4-G (where the family of the missing child is staying) and to no. 4-1 (where 10 people are lodged) to deliver lunch. He repeats this routine at 20H00 to take them dinner.

I wonder who the ten were? Kate's parents and Nora [3]. Trish and husband [2] Nicky and Michelle [2] Michael Wright [1] John and Granny McCann?

Kate's book refers to work carried out in early days as being from an MW place called 'Mission Control'.  I'm just interested in where that was and why the dogs did not search it.

If the Tapas staff delivered meals for 10 to 4I, then hmm...  Perhaps it was an office by day, and a meeting place in the evening.  Does anyone know how many people 4I could sleep?  Surely not 10?

Two more? All the meals delivered to one of them though?

Mark Warner had put two more apartments at our disposal to accommodate everyone who wanted to be there

It would appear they did. Apartments [3?]. Breakfast, lunch and dinner for up to 14. Flights for family and friends. Childcare for the twins. Alan Pike plus apartment plus meals?. Alex Woolfall from Bell Pottinger. Private villa for Madeleine's birthday BBQ plus food. Car and driver when needed. I assume the rest of the group weren't charged for their extended stays. Alternative holidays for those booked into OC in the following weeks who didn't fancy it anymore. It cost MW thousands I would think.

I have wondered why. On the face of it MW did nothing to contribute to what happened but they seemed to go beyond the call of duty. It's natural to be sympathetic, but on the other hand this was a business. Then I saw what Matthew Oldfield said; that David Payne told the booking people that they had to be near each other so they could 'listen' for the children. The correct response from MW was to make it quite clear that the resort wasn't suitable for a 'listening' service and that they did not advise it. If MW didn't make that response they could have been seen as approving of the plan.

Thanks G-Unit. From the context (page 168) the couple had 3 apartments already on Saturday 5th May.
We know about two of them: 4-G and 4-I which are both on the first-floor of block 4.
But where was the mystery third apartment? Was it also in block 4? Or was it in a completely different building?

Gerry visited. Do you 'go round' to next door but one? It depends on the layout of the floors and your speech patterns I suppose.

Gerry had gone round to one of the other apartments our party was occupying,

The third apartment provided on Sat 5th May was a duplex penthouse apartment on the top floors of block 4.

The beginning of the freebies? No wonder they felt they did nothing wrong being treated with kid gloves and like they were 'royalty' and they repay their hosts by telling the world no one was looking for their daughter - disgraceful.
