I don't know why you think it's 'precious' to refuse to play your word games.

To see those who were involved in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann receive their just desserts would be very satisfying. After seven years of investigation it seems highly unlikely to happen, however. Sometimes what people want is simply unattainable.
I didn't ask you to play a word game, I asked a simple question, using terminology that has oft been used by sceptics to describe their online crusade.  I don't know why you should be so apparently offended by it.
I note that despite your claim to want to see those involved in Madeleine's disappearance receive their "just desserts" that you also want the case to be shelved, ensuring that justice is even less likely to happen than if the investigation continues.  I find that rather odd, but each to their own I guess.

I appreciate that you want all the cases of missing children to be investigated thoroughly as do I.
However as the amount of money spenton this investigation gives you cause for concern I well repeat my question to you.

Should the investigation by NSY never have been investigated and therefore no money spent.
Should the investigation ceased when half of the money had been spent.
Should it have been halted this year before the extra money was added.

This case is so far from the norm that it ingenders its own conspiracies. Once the parents saw fit to employ private investigators contrary to Portuguese law and once their involvement with Metodo 3  and Correia was revealed the entire status of this case should have been reviewed.

Why would the McCanns have to abide by Portuguese law after they had returned to the UK?

I'm not offended by the term Justice 4 Maddie, just annoyed by your continual attempts to suggest that anyone who questions the McCann narrative is a member of some group or other. Some people think for themselves, reach their own conclusions and express them as individuals. I subscribe and/or belong to no groups whatsoever, as I have made clear before. Do try and remember it so we don't keep repeating ourselves.

I don't think continuing will result in justice being more likely to be achieved than if the investigation is shelved.

The case should be investigated as should others, and it has.

I have no objection to that.

Perhaps we should ask John on what criterion are used in determining the length of an investigation.

I have no problem with a case being shelved, pending further information, which could then be re-opened.However, as we know, police forces have ever diminishing resources, and what is clear at the moment, is that the case hasn't achieved it's objectives.

Every case is different and depends on many factors, not least being who shouts loudest.

The investigation is based in Portugal.

By SY.  It has been established that there was a conspiracy to have the investigation coordinator removed and McCann operatives M3 were at the heart of it.  That involvement should be investigated.

That's a bit silly isn't it?  Surely if the police are actively investigating the case it is more likely that the case will be solved than if nobody is investigating it?

The Portuguese have primacy in this case. I think sometimes supporters forget that.

Are you disputing the Correia involvement in an attempt to undermine Amaral?

Every case is different and depends on many factors, not least being who shouts loudest.

Kerry Needham has shouted for twenty years, and only recently were funds allocated for an investigation.

Did she receive help from previous P.M.'s, prior to Cameron's involvement, after pressure was applied ?
