I can tell you what we shouldn't be doing. We shouldn't be scaling back investigations into missing children in this country while allocating more funds to a disappearance that we do not have primacy over and therefore no power to prosecute anyone at all, no matter what the outcome.
So you'd be all for MORE money being spent on missing children investigations not less then, I take it?

It does happen. Certain forces have been downgrading 999 calls recently because of lack of resources.
"It does happen"?  So, at the outset of a missing persons enquiry a "missing persons" budget will be set and then when the budget is spent, that's it - case shelved?    I'd like a cite for that please.

Ideally of course but realistically I'd rather see a fairer distribution than seems to be happening at the moment. Don't you agree?

I think each case has to be judged individually and funding allocated as appropriate.  I don't think that there should be a set amount per missing person, particularly as not all missing people go missing as a result of criminal activity involving abduction, kidnap, abuse and murder. Cases where there is a strong likelihood of foul play being involved should take precedence and more resources devoted to them, particularly where young children are involved or where there is a strong suspicion that the perpetrator may go on to commit other similar crimes.

It's a fact.  Claiming to have worked for 3 FTSE 100 companies (as you do regularly and often) is no great set of credentials and does not lend any weight whatsoever to your opinions so why do you keep mentioning it?
You raised the sufficiency of my pension.  I explained the sufficiency of my pensions.

I never mentioned your pension(s), they are of no interest to me whatsoever.

Now, you have falsely accused me of bringing up the subject of your pensions and are point blank REFUSING to admit your mistake or apologise.  What is wrong with you?
