The case belongs to the Portuguese. They have jurisdiction and primacy. Operation Grange have pushed in and taken it upon themselves to investigate. They weren't asked to help and the Portuguese are not overseeing what they do. If Operation Grange fails it's nothing to do with the PJ.
Of course not.  The PJ are utterly blameless in all and every respect.  So what is their role in this investigation again?  Just sitting back and watching and being extremely slow at granting the Met's requests?

So who is going to take the credit should Madeleine McCann's case be resolved?

Redwood in 2013,

So DCI Redwood said the Met went back to the beginning but the Supporters Club say The Met didn't go back to the beginning.

Is that the McCann Supporters Club or the Amaral Supporters Club?

Why shouldn't he,the remit is to investigate as if an abduction took place in the uk,(hard job seeing as if it was supposed to have happened in Portugal) nonetheless have the parents ever been accused of abduction?

Would that include removing her dead body and hiding it.  Is that abduction too?  If it is a form of abduction then "Yes".

I think you will find it is "Amaral Campers" but like "public opinion" does not exist as a cohesive entity.

Are you suggesting they are guilty of Madeliens disappearance? Their role;  based on THE original archived investigation, to which  you have already been told have primacy, is not being discussed by them. Bohahah.

The Met have no authority in Portugal, absolutely none.

To accuse the PJ of 'sitting doing nothing' is the same cr@p still emanating from the mouths of 'friends and Family' and sauces'.  It is the parents who sat and did nothing while their daughter was claimed to have been 'kidnapped' it was the parents who sat and did nothing when others were searching for their daughter.

Now then to recap: who is responsible for the well being of their children... And who placed their child in danger in the first place?

Yahhh you just won a coconut!

You introduced the phrase "frothing at the mouth" on a different thread - I think the post above is a good example of such a complaint.  Get well soon!

The thread makes the reference ... " Maddie detectives seeking resort worker."

Why on earth would they wish to do that?

In my opinion it suggests
  • he may have been in or around places of interest at the time of Madeleine's disappearance
  • he may have been in contact with people already questioned who may also have been in a location of interest when Madeleine disappeared
  • he may or may not know something or someone relevant to Madeleine's case and thus be in possession of important information whether he knows it or not
  • the redundancy of the faux ideology that a reconstruction involving only Madeleine's parents, their friends and the totally blameless guy who just happened to stop to chat with Gerry is the only way to solve Madeleine's case
Only in the last few days have we been made privy from Portuguese sources active in the original investigation, to information regarding yet another burglary in the resort at noon, only a few hours before Madeleine was to disappear.

If that information was  available to the investigation back in 2007 when taken in conjunction with the known at the time home invasions involving the abuse of little girls ... huge questions arise concerning more than competency.

"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....
