They didn't know what crime was committed, no matter how you try to spin it.

But therefore we do not possess any minimally solid and rigorous foundation in order to be able to state, with the safety that is requested, which was or were the exact and precise crime(s) that was or were practised on the person of the minor Madeleine McCann - apart from the supposed but dismissed crime of exposure or abandonment - or to hold anyone responsible over its authorship.

Which part of the fact the prosecutors are in no doubt Madeleine was abducted would you suggest I am trying to spin?

"Even if, hypothetically, one could admit that Gerald and Kate McCann might be responsible over the child's death, it would still have to be explained how, where through, when, with what means, with the help of whom and where to they freed themselves of her body within the restricted time frame that would have been available to them to do so. Their daily routine, until the 3rd of May, had been circumscribed to the narrow borders of the 'Ocean Club' resort and to the beach that lies next to it, unknowing the surrounding terrain and, apart from the English friends that were with them on holiday there, they had no known friends or contacts in Portugal."

Matthew's rogatory says he and Kate had a long run outside Luz prior to 3 May.  That appears to have been up Valverde (M537) to the junction with the N125 beside Boa Vista.

From memory, Kate was not asked where/when she ran, up to and including 3 May.  She only notes running along the beach on 3 May when the T7 were at the Paraíso.  The beach is 300m long, so at normal walking pace it takes 3 minutes to cover end to end.  That seems somewhat short for Kate's capability, but the truth is we are missing information about her runs.

As to whether Gerry ran up to/including 3 May, we also seem to be missing information.

It doesn't take a car to get out of Luz.  I have walked to Burgau and back a number of times.  (My knees are no longer fit for jogging.)  I have done it both by the M537 road and by the off-road costal path.
What's up, old man?

Seems my answer to you was whooshed so I will ask again. With, according to you, all Edgar's experience why do you doubt his reasoning ? Further if his reasoning is doubtful on this theory why not the rest?
Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Just as you think he's an idiot with no moral prinicples at all, I think he's wrong about the reward thing.  But I'm not the expert so l fully accept that I speak from a perspective of some ignorance and it's quite possible that he is right and I am wrong.  But just because I hold this opinion about what he siad doesn't mean I have to slag him off as some sort of morally reprehensible retard does it?

Read their conclusion, that's the bit that counts.

Quote
In a state of alert and panic, she searched the whole apartment, not managing to find the girl, which led her to go, already quite upset, to the Tapas restaurant, saying that her daughter had been taken, a clear allusion to an abduction, justified by the fact that the window was open.

The Prosecutors clearly concluded the same as Kate and Operation Grange, abduction.

Choosing not to cite that part of the prosecutors' archiving dispatch which makes plain the prosecutors were in no doubt Madeleine was abducted does not alter the fact that the prosecutors were in no doubt Madeleine was abducted.

Lagos wasn't out of reach either;

then at 09.30 she walked to Lagos from where she returned at about 11.30 and at about 11.45 went for lunch at the Tapas restaurant.

May we please stick to the topic of the thread ... Who is protecting Maddie's kidnapper? Thank you
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

Ah, well, according to G-Unit, there isn't one, which, if G-Unit were right (she isn't!) would leave the entire thread something of a lame duck.

The archiving report was being discussed.  I picked one example to show that something being in the archiving report does not necessarily make it accurate.  It simply means it appears in the archiving report.

Which part of the archiving report that you quoted was inaccurate?

No they didn't.

There was a lack of evidence of anything sufficient to bring any charges.

I never said that. I disagree with your reading of the archiving report which, in my opinion, leaves all the possible crimes on the table. Edgar thinks someone has information but he's just speculating.

You don't have to however it would be an accurate description.
