Funnily enough I was going to ask you exactly the same question in my previous post.  It seems you introduced the subject of Exton and how bloody marvellous he is, so I would suggest that it is you playing the games around here.  Did Exton find Madeleine?  No, then me must be just as good or as bad as the rest of them - IMO.

As no-one has found Madeleine the quality of the investigations have to be judged using other means. Exton, for example, came up with the only lead which Operation Grange have been seen to follow.

What the two E-fits of the one person.  Very helpful.

The only one made public, there have been 195 leads that they followed up on if memory serves.

You seem on a real mission to convince us that Edgar is only one step up from an amoeba but not quite as bright as Inspector Clouseau and it seems you won't rest until we all agree with you so to shut you up - sure, as bad as Edgar.

What would you do if it worked?

I have not tried to convince anyone of anything. I have merely taken Edgar's own words and actions and repeated them, that is all and if readers now think that he really is a bit dim that is entirely his own doing.

You cannot be serious.  Here's just one of your damning critiques of this man' abilities ffrom this thread - shall I collect them all together so that we can see just how desperate you are to paint him as an incompetent, shameless idiot with no morals?

Faithlilly: "Years of experience as a detective? Undoubtedly. Professional?  Not in the least. Not even attempting to ask questions at a marina where a 'vital' witness was said to have been seen. Not insisting that he had full and unfettered access to all the relevant information. Not even knowing that LCN DNA had been used in the case already. Does that sound professional to you?"

So please point out where I have said anything that is untrue?

You have stated your opinion, which, because Edgar believes Madeleine was abducted, is wholly biased against the man.  By contrast you seem hugely impressed by Exton because, according to sources close to the McCanns, his report was hypercritical of the parents.  Bias, bias, bias.  I have no strong feelings either way about either of these individuals which shows that I am far less biased than you are!

I have stated my opinion based on Edgar's conduct in this case. If any of the information I have posted is not true then perhaps you will point it out to me and I will change my opinion accordingly?

You have stated the man has no pride, that his conduct is shameful and unprofessional, that he has acted with the approval of the McCanns - are these facts or is this your opinion?

Another quote from you in which you slag him off - fact or your opinion?:

"He doesn't care enough to put his dignity on hold, he's just to (sic) dense to realise when it's happening".

That is my opinion based on the facts.
