Amaral won his case and the forum has gone quite.  The McCanns were correct.

What were they correct about ?
I believe everything. And l believe nothing.
I suspect everyone. And l suspect no one.
I gather the facts, examine the clues... and before   you know it, the case is solved!"

Or maybe not -

OG have been pushed out by the Germans who have reserved all the deck chairs for the foreseeable future

If you are claiming as a fact that SY officers contributed to Amaral's fund then you need to provide evidence to back up your claim.

In the meantime I shall continue to regard it as ridiculous propaganda on the same level of credibility as R.Hall's claim that Mrs Fenn colluded with the McCanns -  and every person who saw Madeleine after the 29th April is lying.

I await your proof.
(but I won't hold my breath)

The information and links have already been provided.

Whether you believe it or not is totally irrelevant.

It is hardly in the same vein as Richard Hall, and you know it.

Likewise, if you seriously imagine all of SY believe in abduction, let alone other UK forces, you are more naive than I thought.

Are some of you begging for Warning Points?

Personally, I think it is a waste of time.  So I will continue to remove in full any comments containing insults.

But do carry on wasting your time.

Why do find it incomprehensible that Police Officers contributed to his fund, including ex-members of the force, and including members of SY.

You can denigrate that, any way you wish, but it won't change reality.

Is it incomprehensible that the McCanns donated to Amaral's fund?

To the part I have bolded - no the evidence and information does not remain the same.  It is very different indeed.

For example, the checking routine influences what went on not to a minor extent but to a major extent.

For example, the state of the children's bedroom influences what went on to a major extent.

For example, the McCann phone calls that night influence what went on to a major extent.

And answers are not likely to turn up soon if the remit says abduction.

Of course the evidence that came into their possession never changed.    IIRC SY had over 40,000 documents - from various sources -  the contents of which remained the same whatever the remit was.  SY's intention was to go back to the beginning.  AFAIK it was not in their remit to exclude or ignore information provided by the McCanns and their friends from their investigations.

The idea that SY could carry out a proper investigation whilst excluding the input of the McCanns and their friends is totally unrealistic IMO.  (if that is what you are claiming).

My question remains the same.    What would SY do with information that may have emerged from those 40,000 plus documents which clearly suggested that the McCanns were implicated in their daughter's disappearance?

The idea that because of their remit they would not follow up such evidence is preposterous IMO - unless one believes they were part of a massive conspiracy to protect the McCanns at all costs - which is even more preposterous IMO.

The notion that innocence prevails over guilt – when there is no evidence to the contrary – is what separates civilization from barbarism.    Unfortunately, there are remains of barbarism among us.    Until very recently, it headed the PJ in Portimão. I hope he was the last one.

IOW you can't provide any evidence that the claim is true.

IOW you can't provide any evidence that the claim is true.

You are also aware that operating police officers have to abide by certain regulations.

As to ex-officers, I don't blame the ones, after what happened to Brenda Leyland, and the rancid attacks in the UK press on those who don't believe the McCann's, that they haven't openly given their names.

Meanwhile, do you seriously believe all members of the police support the McCann's ? @)(++(* @)(++(* @)(++(*

IOW you can't provide any evidence that the claim is true.

...and you can't disprove it.

However, the good news is, I already know some who have. ?{)(**

Meanwhile, do you believe all members of SY or any other police force support the McCann's ?

I notice, yet again you don't answer certain questions.
